Sacramento band LabRats are at the forefront of a burgeoning scene that unapologetically embraces diversity. Hosting a weekly Sunday night jam session at Sacramento’s Torch Club, the band encourages musicians and artists from all walks of life to express themselves freely. “Sacramento has some of the most talented musicians in the U.S.,” says drummer and bandleader Jacob Swedlow.
With their debut album, Year of the Rat, set to release on May 6, LabRats are leading the charge in a musical movement that is set to put Sacramento on the map.
