Labour will have 'different way of doing politics' as Starmer tours UK nations
Ойын-сауық
Sir Keir Starmer has said his government will have a "different way of doing politics" as he toured the UK's nations in his first week as prime minister.
Having visited Scotland over the weekend, he completed his tour by visiting Northern Ireland and Wales on Monday, as Sky's Sam Coates reports.

Labour got us in to TRILLIONS of debt. Last time. Enough to cover the UK in 50 notes. We spend more on the interest than education. Not wasting time at all. That's a blank checkbook for the EU😅

@iGamezRo

@prodlowd I have always thought to what would happen if the Cooperatives broke the electoral pact with Labour? Would they be able to hold their own, or would they become irrelevant? I lean more to the second option because not that many people know of them, but they would have a pretty solid base of MPs and some funding so they can make themselves known.
@prodlowd
11 күн бұрын
@@iGamezRo yeah FPTP would probably lead to the party becoming irrelevant
@iGamezRo
11 күн бұрын
@@prodlowd I think that FPTP's days are numbered. If Reform and the LibDems can pull all the other minor parties for the abolition of FPTP, then it will surely die. I think that if the SNP also join this train, it will be their only true achievement while being relevant. To be honest, the SNP, with their unachievable independence, has been what made the Tories so strong and Labour so weak during the last Parliament. Scotland constantly voted Labour and Labour could count on at least 40ish seats from Scotland. The SNP simply took that away just so they could moan some louder about something that was never in their hands.

release people in prison for absolutely silly things, so we have space for people in prison who have done horrible things. Under the tories we were releasing literal convicted rapists back into the streets because the prisons were full. Considering we can't build a prison instantaneously, we have to do SOMETHING. So swapping inmates out in order of the seriousness of their crime is a bit of an improvement while proper reform us underway.
