I just got a job as a lab/field technician at a company called Q-lab, weather testing specimens for various customers, I'm in evaluations where we test specimens for color, gloss, photos, inspection and so on after being exposed to certain types of weather. I love it so far.

Medical Technologist / Clinical Laboratory Scientist. High complexity testing. Relevant experience in blood bank, chemistry, microbiology, and hematology. Familiarity with test kits, PCR testing, automated systems, and instrumentation troubleshooting. Ability to prioritize work flow and handle multiple streams of input. Follow established laboratory procedures and prioritize safety at all times. Maintain specimen integrity. Good computer skills and ability to learn new interfaces. Maintain either written or electronic documentation on work. Participate in the established quality assurance program. Handle emergent situations. Assist with phlebotomy, arterial gas collection, and bone marrow aspirations. Perform customer service interactions with medical staff, patients, and doctors. Supervise laboratory staff. Maintain proper licensing and continuing education requirements. In the US be ASCP certified. Get paid 45 or 50k a year.
