650 horses + 3100 pound car = Hold the hell on! Loved the BBS LM wheels. They look great on the C5.

Most people Have no idea when they say only 650 hp. 650 whp on a 3100 pound car is a freaking rocket and will be a nightmare for most modded cars to come Around on the street on the top End.

indeed, I have a co worker that has a 6.2L Chevy SS that's 4000 lbs, yeah it's 415 hp, but much heavier and can't handle like a Vette there's a website that has the HP to weight calculator and shows the 5.7L compared to that car is even

Yes, it is 650rwhp. And yes, it is a rocket ship. The video doesn’t do it justice. The 168mph in the half mile backs up the claim.

People, especially these kids, are jaded. C5’s are between 3100 to 3300 lbs. 650 is enough to break many hearts of heavier rides, if not to just be right along side them. Also those other rides cant just take the motor out and toss in an LSX based, 460 cu inch stroker and make 700 NA at the wheels. Let alone toss some giggle gas on top of that.

@@crodrc51able I know people who say anything under 700hp is slow but only ever driven trucks or fwd sedans... Bought myself an 99 LS1 formula and it's fast enough to make people clench and stiffen in fear. Cannot imagine something that's 300lbs lighter with more 300hp

That Z06 is nicely done!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish the owner would have explained more about the supportive mods, like... injectors / headers / fuel system / clutch / miles on car and mods / cats or no cats / ect. There's a lot done and it's very impressive.This is one of the lightest vettes ever made, with 650hp!

A good friend of mine just built a sleeper 98 C5 with an automatic putting 800+ down to the pavement with a 427 build and a blower. He is looking forward to trolling some Hellcats.

@@joem1382What about the C3 Corvettes that only put down 165hp back in 1975-1980? Have over 800whp in that and I’d say that’s a sleeper.

Even 500rwhp on a 3100 pound is a rocket! That almost six pounds per hp which is almost the super car range and even will smoke a few of them. I have 2003 z06 all NA and even with 405bhp, it s a blast to drive.

The 01-04 C5 Z06 could smoke that periods Ferrari/the 360 modena, etc, and was one of the fastest cars you could buy when it was released

Awesome machine! I have an ECS car. 2004 Torch Red Z06 with mod red interior.. SC-600. Stock engine with long tube headers, 60 pound injectors, tune, A stage 1 fuel system and a Paxton Novi 2000 making 10 pounds of boost. 605/527 on power. It's bipolar LOL! Out of boost...it's so tame. In boost? hang on!!! It has a stock clutch and driveline. 3.42 gears.

Love how you rock a FULL mods list in your description. Legit bro. Car makes great power and sounds amazing.

That was a different guy. He actually recently sold his car. But Labib lives about 3 minutes from my house, so practically neighbors.

Same. Had an 03 S2k AP1 and bought an 04 C5z and fell in love. Sold the S2k shortly after, even though I regretted it, but LOVED my Z06. Lol. Both are incredible cars, but nothing beats a lightweight aluminum and fiberglass V8 American muscle car. The torque, the throttle response, the horsepower, its unmatched.

Pair of nice Vette specimens! Looked like your friend’s beard was gonna fly off when ya did that run thru the gears!

Chris, great vid as always. Interested in your thoughts between riding in a fixed roof vs. the standard coupe with the targa. I love my FRC, but feel like I’m missing something without the removable top.

With the roof on they don’t feel any different really. I personally have always liked the look f the Coupe better over the FRC. And the option to remove the targa is a great bonus.

They are OEM C6 Z06 wheels. They fit, no rubbing.

Love seeing all the C5 vids. I too have started a line of C5 and C6 vids. I'm also releasing a line of carbon parts for the C5 and C6 chassis, like nothing currently on the market, but much needed. It's available to subs of the channel, so if you may be interested, check that out. I also did some vids on suspension, steering and other aspects of C5 mods. I incorporate some cinematography and visuals too, for flavor. Keep up the good work! Love seeing Corvettes! My gf and I both drive one daily!

Labib has headers with stock Ti Z06 axle back. I have headers, x-pipe, Corsa sport axle back.

Definitely not! An auto C5, cammed, tire, torque converter and the right centrifugal blower will tickle 9’s, if not be at the top of 9’s.

I would have bought on if not for the fixed roof. The comparison between your and his reinforces this. Plus there is one mod the z06 cannot have. The ejector seat! Pop the top and off she goes. Gold diggers............ 😄

If he would've got a better launch his trap speed would've been higher.

The red car is a Z06, the white car is a coupe.

Trans axle is the weak link in those cars

Is Big BS,, for my twin turbo 406 on my 1985 corvette, ur cars sound like a little Honda for my car,, low 6s on a 8d of mile at 158 mph,, 828 hp to wheels,, but nothing wrong with urs,, nice,,
