It's so painful to watch years after the fact how "shocked" everyone is at all this coming out. The info was out about everything in 2020.. it was obviously man made and was not a "leak" there was a paper trail a mile long where it came from. They had the jab patents before the outbreak. They had a public war game a year prior then operation lockstep.. The whole thing was painfully obvious and I knew from the start no matter the consequences money, career, social pressure, whatever! I was not playing along and quickly educated my family and lost many friends over it. I still can't understand how so many people fell for it and carried water for these criminals with cult like ferver (by far the scariest part of the whole thing).. it was the ultimate social intelligence test. If it didn't wake you up you are lost.

I want to point out that while this research was going on in Wuhan, it had previously been done, financed by Dr Fauci, in the University of North Carolina, in a place called Chapel Hill and that there are many similar reseach sites around America and throughout the Western World. For example the US has a very sinister sounding bio-lab in Tblisi, the capital of Georgia and at least 37 such labs in Ukraine. It has also stonewalled any investigation of its bio-labs in relation to the SARS COV 2 outbreak. While it is true that very occasionally, viruses can "jump" from an animal host to a human being and then go on to infect other humans, it is very rare for this to happen while leaks from bio-labs are very common. It happens nearly every year. Natural viruses can be quite nasty enough, without humans making them even worse, deliberately. So I think there should be International Laws prohibiting such research and the penalties for breaking these laws should be very severe indeed. The only "Logical" reason for doing such research is Biological Warfare, which should (If it is not already.) be a "Crime Against Humanity". Such laws, could save humanity from being wiped out completely. No exaggeration!

What this report started to refer to at the end was the insertion site for a patented genetic sequence, which was impossible to spontaneously occur in nature. _They’d probably _*_already_*_ done it…_ My wife was a post-doc in molecular biology (gene sequencing and editing) years ago: She told me that SOP was always to use the bulk of your current grant to develop what you’d propose for your next one. Basically, the research for each new grant was mostly done by the time the proposal was submitted. That way you’d always be guaranteed to having successful outcomes in your funded research. As the reporter pointed out, it would have been trivial and inexpensive to just go ahead and engineer the spike proteins they were talking about before even applying for the DARPA money. I’d bet high odds that at least some of the work had been done and the modified viruses already existed at that point.

Not the US. Just the Democrats who sold us out to China. Gavin newsom was playing basketball with the CCP a few months ago. Now they're finding warehouses in California filled with COVID Ebola and anthrax owned by Chinese companies. A few years ago people were called racist for suggesting the virus came from Wuhan and now here we are.

The question is - when Congress deems it "bad" is that just for public-facing? A wink and a nod to still get it done? Probably.

Great DARPA said no to a grant request for millions, given France and some US researchers were already performing research on the COVID related viruses, but it's been established that Echo Health Institute and others were in fact working with WIV. Point is once you've helped build the facilities and the expertise, and funded other other research, basically provided the tools, doesn't mean they won't do the "research" to a create a chimeric virus just because you decided not to fund that research.

As a past academic researcher ... in most cases.. by the time you're looking for grant funding, you've already gotten the work at least into preliminary stages / with preliminary data/results in hand.

Few people, especially media personalities, have the courage to put ethics over popularity or money like Iversen did. The world needs more ppl like her and less ppl like you imo.

The proposal wasn't accepted by DARPA but it didn't just go away (obviously). Dr Fauci helped is good friend Peter Daszak of Eco Health Alliance rewrite the proposal skirting (almost violating but not quite) the gain of function research ban in a way that he could approve a grant through the NIH. I tried to share articles that talked about this grant proposal but they were labeled as misinformation and taken down. I mean, not before some really smart people pointed out that I'm not a scientist and have no business questioning science without a degree. I still can't hardly believe that we had a large segment of the population who bought into such a moronic idea and even took it a step further asserting that NOT questioning things was a badge of intelligence and superior intellect! Saddest part... There are TONS of people still posting these idiotic memes. FFS, Neil deGrasse Tyson just shared a post about how "conspiracy theories are cheat codes for ignorant people..." If you ever needed an example of education not equaling intelligence, look no further than Dr Tyson...

The first word he said was "shocking". Sounds like a collaborator, using that word at this very late stage.

Daszak played the poacher turned gamekeeper card and failed to declare his egregious conflict of interest when going to Wuhan as part of the WHO team sent to investigate the origins of the Pandemic. I remember him being all over the media before he went being careful to rule out any possibility of a lab origin for Covid 19. He should be charged with crimes against humanity.

Scientist here. The science community relies on government grants (mostly NIH or NSF) to be able to pay for everything they do in a lab. The reason almost no one spoke out when it was obvious it was a lab leak was because they didn't want to lose funding. And those that spoke in defense of the natural origin idea (not a lot of people, but some notorious ones) got some really nice chunks of money from the NIH. That was the issue, Fauci and friends have too much power.

There was a paper published by the Wuhan Institute of Virology about the experiment doing this very thing successfully. I had bookmarked it in 2019 but it subsequently disappeared from the Internet.

There is a relatively obscure interview with Peter Daszak of EcoHealth Alliance that took place in late 2019 (before most people even heard the phrase Covid19) that was posted here on KZread in the early months of 2020. It is called "TWiV 615" (This Week in Virology). It runs about 35 minutes and I find the part after about 29:30 to be especially chilling.

The best way to hide the truth - create two lies. For those who do not believe the first one, slip in the other, pretend that you are hiding and denying it. And people will believe that they discovered the truth.

the US first made covid in 1965 and the uni of NC filed a patent and an exemption to do gain of function research on covid in 1995. there were documented cases of covid in italy and the US at least 3 months before it was in china.
