Your hair looks so pretty! Nice video too! I have never made it to LA, I always go to San Diego and just never get any farther
You can't forget Raymond Chandler. Also, Ray Bradbury's Death is a Lonely Business---an interesting novel that's not on people's radar.
I've been loving Eve Babitz recently LA wise. (Also, fabulous hair!!)
For LA books - What about Valley of the Dolls and Hidden Bodies by Caroline Kepnes
If you read mysteries, Michael Connelly’s and Robert Crais’ books are set in LA. I think Joseph Wambaugh’s books may also be set in LA. The YA book series: Legend is set in a future LA. I love White Oleander. I will have to check out the others, since I live and work in the neighborhood, I love reading books with LA or Orange County as the setting! Thanks for the recommendations!
This video should include diverse literature from L.A. natives.

Dodger Blue Will Fill Your Soul by Bryan Allen Fierro and LAttitudes edited by Patricia Wakida are two good options included in the vid.
