I just purchased those for my gf bestie - beginner boulderer. Never saw them before but the model fixed two main issues I had with the tarantula… the missing of the toe patch for hooks and the split soles for better standing on boxes. Especially standing on boxes and smearing can be a scary for beginners and this makes it feel so much better and secure… toe hook might not be essential in most beginner climbs - but if you try/train it and you can’t even imagine how this should hold because the leather is slipping it can make you discard this technique beforehand and hinder your progress. Cost around 85€ - 25 more then tarantula classic… bucks well spent

Bruh thanks for the review, my story is almost same as yours, im super into climbing, looking for a good and affordable (mostly bouldering ) shoes and these interested me. Thats 1 of 2 reviews i could find about them, how is the glue on the shoe sole? I did find one review about poor glue on these, someone said that after one session the sole unglued itself is it true with your pair?

I climb with lasportiva shoes for years know… never had any troubles with a sole coming off… generally never heard of that with any of the major highend brands ever… makes me doubt he didn’t get the real deal
