Tehnanners09 There is... To the well trained ear you will notice a slight difference in tempo and pitch at certain points in the song. All in all Avani Penari is right. The UK version is a little slower and an little better.

Had to be the US version with the product placement, right?

Looking back at this comment section, they're both practically the same. She even ads more adlibs in this one to make it different and spice it up. They're both equally as good.

Can someone just explain why we need a US version? The original UK version will always be my favorite... I just don't see why they felt the need to make one for the states.

It was so they could do that lovely L'Oreal hair spray product placement. ;) I just discovered La Roux a few months ago, and only just now found out this version existed. I like both versions, but for different reasons; I prefer the audio of the original (although this is good, it's not as good), but this video has more going on for me to think about than the UK (Rest-of-the-Not-US-World?) version.

I also have a strong feeling that this is the older version. Maybe someone in the US department liked it better. But the way she pulls the run down to that very resolved bottom note in the normal version, that's not something you would stop doing once you started. It's too natural and intuitive. It's more something you would start doing after writing it this way, intuitively improving it. Plus she has always sung it the normal way live, so that also seems to support the idea that this is an early version.

Thanks La Roux. I hope that you will be appreciated more in the future

Mahmoud Ragab sounds faster and has more beats but the Commonwealth version (UK) is clearer
