@@torrestorrestorres488 I was ten or eleven years old in 1970 or 71 when I first heard the pop song, Je T'aime, which very likely be the best song ever written and performed.I was moved to my brother's place because my mother went to the hospital this way my much older brother watched over me in Budapest, Hungary. This fact also left a very deep impression on me and made me remember so well this occasion. I was by myself sitting on the edge of the bed when this song came on the radio, it paralyzed me, it filled me up with undescribable joy that I never felt before. Only about four years ago my best friend married a French girl from whom I heard what is actually being sang in this song, but I wish I didn't got to find out. Neverthless, I still nowadays enjoy this tune the same way as I did back then which fact also applied to songs like, 'Your Song', 'Child in Time', 'Stargazer', or 'Who do You Love' ( by UFO) from the seventies when I knew no English whatsoever. So, in these examples knowing English does not matter, though I admit with many others it does.

I think she sang it very slow and seemed a little scared of singing such a máster piece, thats why she changed it in some parts. To me the song sounds better sung like the original with a mexican spanish accent, which she does not have.

@@Mariosilvagt3 she's not that popular at all in mexico, most don't know her. I think if she's going to sing a classic huasteca style song, at the very least, she should sing the falsete that Miguel Acevez Mejía sang in the original song, which made it famous. When singers can't sing certain notes, they add their own style, so it's far from the original, nothing bad. I like how Chingon sings it with a Rock en Español style, they did sing those higher notes in that one as they should and the modern versión is amazing to me as well.

I got here following Chris Thile, but wow her voice and unique way of picking the guitar has me absolutely blown away! So much soul!!

i've watched this video numerous times and it never gets old. She is a living musical treasure. Saw her live at the Troubadour in West Hollywood w/o even knowing who she was... Was there to see C.W. Stoneking, unaware that there would even be an opening act. Gaby came out with just her guitar and took the room away with her in her tiny little pocket. i've since spent a small fortune tracking down her CD catalog.

Que no les guste no quiere decir que la interpretación sea mala. A mí me encanta esta interpretación, me fascina, pero me gusta más la interpretación de Juan Diego Flores.

A favorite memory from my early years, somewhere between 1963 and 65, is hanging out at the "Penny University" in San Bernardino, California, a coffee house (penny a cup, hence the name.) A favorite act was Clabe Hangan, a guitarist, recording artist and vocalist who did a fantasric version of this classic. it was the high point of his performance. On one occasion, as he sang that beautiful sustained syllable that makes this composition so memorable, there rose from the back of the darkened room a strong, perfect harmony. the audience, as one, turned to see ... Harry Belafonte! He had dropped in on his way from LA to Vegas to see his buddy Clabe perform. What a treat!
