We watched this film in school as the last film of our school career. Everyone was mad when we watched it but me and my friend where the only ones who liked this movie as fuck. I cant understand the others its a greate fucking story with a good plot. Amen

It basically was an early drone. According to Emmanuel Previnaire, founder of the Flying-Cam system, "The shot was done with our crew using the Flying-Cam I Unmanned Remote helicopter. Cette scene fantastique , avais anticipé ci bien le contraste croissant entre differente culture en France...la voix de Piaf comme un phantome du passé...il y a simplement du genie dans ce film.

Seen this movie 1st time when i was 13-14yrs old, im now 47, seen it atleast 20 times since and still love it! Also great to see how vincent made it to hollywood etc… ocean’s 12-13 and many other very good movies

One of my favorite movies.

You really can't mimic this shot with a drone. The way the camera ever so slightly shakes and swings as it pans, almost as if it's hanging, conveys so much more than what would be shown through a smooth or jerky shot you'd get from a drone.

@artysmokes From the "jump" through the window 'till the end, the camera is under a radiocontrolled helicopter. They had to modify the first pictures because originaly their were reflects of the toy in the windows. You can find this informations in the whole DVD movie "La Haine" by Kassovitch, with director's comments.
