I got nothing but love and respect for La Chat and that old school Memphis shit..I grew up on that shit.I can’t fuck with this new age shit,I’m still bumpin Three 6 Mafia/Prophet Posse,Skinny Pimp,DJ Squeeky,Playa Fly,Tommy Wright III,Gangsta Pat,DJ Zirk,Projekt Playaz,Yo Lynch,Indo G,Mac T Dogg,Project Pimp,the Manson Family,8Ball & MJG,etc,etc..when I speak on Memphis rap I always gotta mention T-Rock too,he is from ATL but he got his start in that Memphis scene holding it down with some of the best to ever come outta Memphis..some of La Chat’s best work was with Tommy Wright III and Street Smart Records..some folks just don’t know how hard Memphis was going in the 90s and early 2000s cuz if you weren’t affiliated with Triple 6 Mafia,8Ball & MJG or Yo Gotti most of the world wasn’t hearin you you had to really be plugged in to the Memphis underground scene to really understand just how hard Memphis was really doin it..La Chat a real one,she give credit where credit is due.she know you can’t mention that old Memphis underground shit without mentioning the vets like DJ Squeeky,DJ Zirk,Spanish Fly,etc(of course Three 6 Mafia and 8Ball & MJG but that goes without saying)
