La Casa de la Playa Luxury Resort | Xcaret, Mexico
I was recently invited to explore Mexico's newest luxury resort, La Casa de la Playa. This 63 room property is the ultimate in luxury. It's all-inclusive, but not in the traditional way. This is the perfect place to go if you want to disappear and relax.
If you're celebrating an anniversary, looking for the perfect place for your honeymoon, or just looking for a romantic getaway - this is the resort for you! Questions? Just drop them in the comments.

Hands down best place I’ve ever stayed. I couldn’t figure out the steam shower.
I stayed there last week for 7 days. I chose room 3101 it was one the biggest room approximately 130sqm with private access to the beach. It’s a been a week since I left that magical place but I still cannt believe the luxury quality of my stay that I experienced. Food staff and the arts are second to none. I will definitely visit there sometimes soon next year.

Can I borrow $100, since you can afford $15,000 for a hotel for a week 😂
All those amazing amenities reminds me all the Four Seasons Hotels, wherever you need o you desire they make it happen! Out of this world hotel!
Just came back and Casa De La Playa was magical.

I will be traveling to this resort soon. It looks amazing, but how are the beaches and do you have access to the beaches at the neighbor properties? We are booked in a beachfront room, but wondering if there is much to really walk out to or if we should save a few bucks. Thanks so much!

There is one swimmable beach, but it's on the small side. The highlight here is really the pool. You do have access to the beaches and activities at the other resorts in the complex.
Hi Heather! Thanks for the great video. You have helped us seriously consider having our honeymoon here this October. I have a couple quick questions. What is the best way to book our stay here? (Directly from their website or is it better through some travel agent or Expedia type of company). We were wanting to stay at Arte but they are sold out. How close is Arte from here? And it’s my understanding we can go and use all of the amenities all inclusive (besides 2 of the paid restaurants). We are hoping to book our trip soon. Thanks again for the video and looking forward to hearing from you!

Hi Andy, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I may be partial, but I always believe you should use a travel agent on any vacation. ;) We can guide you on best choices for your family, as well as help if anything goes wrong. I'm happy to help with your honeymoon if you'd like. Just email me at Heatherg@mei-travel.com
Thank you for the informative video. This resort looks AMAZING! We would like to stay here for a few days and then transfer to another hotel in Tulum. Would this be complicated to arrange?

hi I just have a quick question did u have to land in Cancun first and how long will you say the ride is to get there?

Yes, you'll fly into Cancun Airport, and it's about an hour drive from there without traffic.
Place looks Amazing , definitely on my Book 📖 List , what is the best time of the year that you recommend on going ?

We are planning to stay at La Casa de la Playa and booked a beach access room. We're now thinking of changing to a beach "view"...it looks like the access rooms have no clear beach view. Care to comment on that Heather?
@JourneyWithHeather

If a view is important, you definitely want beach view. The access rooms will be on the first floor with no view other than palm trees.
Hi Heather thank you for the video it is amazing can't wait to go. I have one question I know this is an all inclusive hotel . Should I be tipping The Butler and anybody that helps me during my stay or my transportation? I've seen a couple videos about this hotel and nobody really talks about tipping.
@JourneyWithHeather

You don't really have to tip, though I tend to tip my butler and bell services.

Me too! It was a fantastic resort.
Is there a golf course there or near by? Thanks
We are looking here for our honeymoon, thanks for a great video! We really had our hearts set on Arte, but our dates aren’t available ☹️. If we visited Arte while staying at Casa, is it a hassle or super quick to get there? Also would we be able to get drinks and food there as well? Or is it only facilities / classes that we could access.
@JourneyWithHeather
2 жыл бұрын
It's easy to get there because there are private cars/drivers for you to use when staying at Casa. You can visit Arte to take classes and see the shows, but not to eat, I'm afraid.

@@JourneyWithHeather did you feel like you missed out at all in terms of food? I'm sure the food was great but the options at Arte look awesome. Can you drink at Arte?
@JourneyWithHeather
2 жыл бұрын
@@FrinkyDizzler Not at all! The good quality at Casa was much better than Arte. I found the food at Arte to be middle of the road, but at Casa the food was artfully crafted and delicious. Much better than big buffet style restaurants.
I found this place beautiful as well. They just know how to do customer service here to a T. However, I find you get so much more for your money at Xcaret Arte (same complex). Instead of spending about $10,000 (CAD) for 7 days with 2 people, it would be $5500 at Xcaret Arte (you get your own butler there as well when you stay in the Artisas casa). Also at Arte, you get access to the other hotel next door as well. Cant beat that. For those reasons only, I wouldn't spend that kind of money to go here again
@JourneyWithHeather
2 жыл бұрын
Well, they're two totally different experiences. Arte is wonderful, but it's much more of a traditional all inclusive. La casa is a true luxury resort and is meant to be more high end. Plus, you do get access to all facilities and classes at both Arte and Hotel Xcaret when you stay here (but you can't access la casa unless you are staying there).

I am with you Heather! I was at CDLP last week and although I did visit Arte on two occasions during my stay, I definitely found my self wanting to go back to CDLP. I think the experience at CDLP is more private and refined just as you said. I wouldn't compare the two really.
Can nun guests access the pool like for a fee ?

No, you can only use the facilities if you're a guest of the hotel.
Thanks for you video. How much is it per night? Does it include all entries to parks too?

Hi Heather, are there any activities to do there or shows? Or, should we go to another location to partake in that kind of activity? Thank you!

This is more of a quiet resort, so no shows. But you can be driven to the resort next door and watch any of their shows and do their activities.
What a wonderful video - many thanks for doing this. I’m considering going this June. One question - can you tell me what’s NOT included there? Should we worry about any hidden costs? Many Thanks!
