1)In 1867, Dadabhai Naoroji put forward the 'drain of wealth' theory in which he stated that the Britain was completely draining India. He mentioned this theory in his book Poverty and Un-British Rule in India. 2) R C. Dutt also promoted the same theory by keeping it as a major theme of his book Economic History in India. 3)The Drain of Wealth theory was systemically initiated by Dadabhai Naoroji in 1867 and further analysed and developed by R.P. Dutt, M.G Ranade etc. The "drain of wealth" depicts the constant flow of wealth from India to England for which India did not get an adequate economic, commercial or material return. Book "Essays on Indian Economics" written by M.G.Ranade

Sir, pz explain as to why indian traders has to exports their processed goods till 1813 as india itsef was a huge market. That's why Britain after industrialization choose india to be a huge Market to dump their machine made products. Though exporting goods with heavy duties proved costly but can't they sell to indian local markets without indulging British company ?

Sir, as you describe that in 1858 British gov took over EIC and they didn't take any of the charges on themselves put by Indians for the period of 1757-1858. Can this be a trick of the British government to take over charge so late as they knew from 1772 regulating acts the way company is behaving sooner or later there will be a mutiny that will happen to uproot EIC policy? If we have to maintain India as a colony for a long time time, we let EIC do the wrong things till mutiny, and later we can just shake it off by saying we didn't know what was happening here and from now on we will lead a good government.
