Part 3: • L.V. on How He Made "G...
--------
In this clip, B.G. Knocc Out continued to speak to L.V. about being shot 9 times in 1984, and L.V. explained that he thinks some opps slid through his neighborhood and saw him alone and took their opportunity. From there, L.V. spoke about being part of the group “South Central Cartel,” and dropping their “South Central Maddness” album in 1992. L.V. spoke about being in the group with Havocc tha Mouthpiece, Havikk the Rhime Son, and DJ Kaos. After L.V. spoke about the formation of the group, B.G. Knocc Out brought up them doing “Knock On Wood” together in 1995. From there, B.G. Knocc Out asked L.V. about his S.C.C. group mate Havocc tha Mouthpiece getting the budget for the song, which led to L.V. speaking about Havocc being “underhanded” in the situation. Moving along, B.G. Knocc Out asked L.V. about releasing his solo album, “I Am L.V.” on Tommy Boy Records, which he said was a good label situation.

Dawg “Knock On Wood” will forever be not just a West Coast classic but a TRUE CERTIFIED HOOD CLASSIC!! “Ok now what would you do if I knocked on yo front DOE witta FOW FOW, you open it up and I let the trigga go POW”

@@Keepskatin bullshit. I'm a KCMO dude so i love Rich the Factor but calling that verse whack is some straight hater shit. BG KO killed it, Dresta Killed it, and Jayo Felony killed. Everyone killed it. I don't know what you're talking about, but if you think anyone in Knocc on Wood was whack, you're just a straight up hater.

I used the beginning of Dresta verse the whole, "Well I be G and he be G but he wanna be just like me. So I guess that make G BG and I guess that make me OG. See G..." I dig that rhyme scheme.
South Central Cartel is my favorite rap group. They are so underrated.

Both SCC and Above the Law! But more SCC for me 👍 Greetings from Mexico
That SCC Murder Squad Nationwide is one of the hardest albums I ever heard 💯
South Central Cartel played a big part in Westcoast hip hop along with Above the law, Kokane, Penthouse Players Clique and so on.

BG has one of the most communicative laughs ever I swear ! Great to see him as an interviewer. Thanks Vlad, BG and LV, "all day every day" 👍
It's amazing to me that you had a West Coast group that had 2 Havocs (Havocc the Mouthpiece and Havikk the Rhime Son) and 2 Prodejes(Prodeje and Young Prodeje) and then an East Coast Group (Mobb Deep) with a Havoc and Prodigy as members. Mind blown

I read they got into it at Jack the Rapper convention 1993 but Guru of Gangstarr intervened and stopped it from getting heated. Premo, Havoc and Prodigy all confirmed this.

Props to Vlad for puttin Biscuits & Gravy Knocc Out on
That note L.V hit on the beginning of “It’s a SCC Thang” is so legendary 🔥
