11 years aayi lancer diesel daily driver upayogikunnu...... clocked more than 2L kms....... still runs like a champ except some issues that can come to old cars..... recently upgraded to a kia...... but still has the lancer....... kodakan thonunila..... poli vandi....... mileage around 14-15 city il kittunund..... road il kidakenda oru avastha polum vannittila..... spare parts are available but the costs are very high
കഴിഞ്ഞ 12 വർഷമായി Diesel lancer ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു ഇതുവരെ കാര്യമായ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ ഒന്നും വന്നിട്ടില്ല 2 ലക്ഷം കിലോമീറ്റർ മുകളിലും ഓടി. ഇപ്പോഴും എൻജിൻ പക്ക ആണ് spare parts എല്ലാം സുലഭമായി കിട്ടും ഷോറൂം ഉണ്ട്, മര്യാദയ്ക്ക് നോക്കിയാൽ 5 6 ലക്ഷം കിലോമീറ്റർ സുഖമായി ഓടിക്കോളും 17+ milage എൻറെ വണ്ടിക്ക് കിട്ടുന്നുണ്ട് 2013 ജനുവരി വരെ ഇന്ത്യയിൽ പ്രൊഡക്ഷൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു

By current rules there are no problems to use, as it is a 1999 model the retest will be in this year then you can use it for next 5 years without any problems
In 2008 ..new lancer look like lancer Evo is plan to introduce in india...but they drop..but in dubai u can see...too many ..but now Mitsubishi stop the production of lancer
