Yes you are right. But i would say 1/5 of strength, it's subjective. But a certain way to gauge the minimum 'spirit' bar you need to make a despo move is to have the bar touching the right border of the avatar for P1 and left border for P2.

the desperate move is done when u have about a 1/4 of strength and full power then u make a movement like a middle "e" but push first the "c button and then "a" not at the same time but one after the other.

i own this game..like for real..in my snes..i love robert..hes the coolest..the best way to beat them..is jump kick them..and wile on the floor tease them..specially wit fatso..so no more "ki"...

All the move execution timing is way different from any other game. You have to complete the full motion before pressing any button and not at the same time like other games.

I do not know why wud the gameplay be bad. Seriously we have seen enough to feel this is no ordinary game. Maybe players out there did not manage to reach that far to see the beauty of it.
