I like this song "再度重遇你" very much. I like both Jacky Cheung & 李克勤. They are the best singers in HK from my perspective. Actually they are fellow bothers and also the winners from the same amateur singing competition in HK during 1984-1985. Thank you for sharing this.
Hacken’s singing doesn’t have soul. It always sounds hollow and technical like studio singing. It’s not 動聽. I heard Alan Tam had similar comments for him. He said Hacken 唱歌唔夠放 . I agree. When you sing, you are telling a story. I don’t know why Hacken can’t seem to do it. His intensity comes from just technical know-now, not from depth of soul.

The biggest problem with Hacken’s singing is that he doesn’t sing from soul. He only sings from technical know-how. That’s why it sounds good but it’s emotionally hollow. When you sing, you’re telling a story. Especially a song like this has a lot of agony. This doesn’t come through whatsoever. He’s afraid to sound wild and ugly which is needed for a song like this but he keeps it so controlled that it just sounds emotionally blank and meh.
