These days L'Escala is a town that the middle class Catalan resident would like to keep a secret; however, independent holidaymakers are too starting to discover its charm.
L'Escala is a truly wonderful place to stay, steeped in history, on the doorstep of some of the Costa Brava's most beautiful family-friendly, sandy beaches. To the north of the town is a continuous sandy beach stretching for about 20km to the south beautiful coves and bays to explore and snorkel.
The resort is around 50 minutes drive from the international airport of Girona.

no, those are times gone by im affraid. I remember you could buy a villa there for 200k euro many years ago... now tourism has taken its toll on the prices.... even their fuel and everything in tourism zones is almost identical to ours
THIS MAN KNOWS NOTHING ABOUT THIS TOWN, SERIOUSLY WERE IS THE HISTORY BACKROUND, HE ONLY MENTIONED THE TOURIST (THAT WE ARE SO TIRED OF) PLACES, BUT DIDN'T MENTION ANYTHING ABOUT THE PLACE AND IT'S CULTURE
