One of my all time favorite games ... I really love how they got the licences to use these cars and didn't just use generic knock offs

So this must be one of the few games with licensed cars that aren't racing games

I guess so, I can't think of any other games other than racing games. I always thought that it was interesting that L.A. Noire had some real life brands when other games like gta, red dead and max payne all have fictional brands. L.A. Noire has Coca-Cola, Kellogg's Cereal, Oxydol, Nun Busch shoes and of course all the car companies in the game. Maybe Team Bondi got approval from the companies to use the game for product placement advertising but I really don't know how that stuff works.

The only non-racing Rockstar game to feature licensed rl cars (also the last game). I wonder if Rockstar would consider to license real cars again esp. since GTA Online cars has just becoming more and more similar to its rl version.

@@americangangster1911 Well, you know Rockstar is famous with Midnight Club series esp. starting with the third game which incorporate licensed cars and brands, and going further back Rockstar also once made a skateboarding game based on Thrasher skateboarding magazine, so it's not like Rockstar is a stranger with that stuff :-)

It's amazing to know how they look in real life. I doubted if they were real or not, because the 47's design was so different, beautiful and classical. It is rare to find vehicles like this working on the streets today, because most of them are in the museum, but it is not impossible. Great work, I think the editing and trying to get all cars was hard, so you deserve every credit for this video.

When I first played this game it was the time I was working in an automobile museum, and being familiar with some of those cars by seeing them every day I was pretty impressed with the level of detail in the game, specially the Packards, which were my favorite cars at my old job!

@ AmericanGangster I have some questions for you as it seems to be that you are a mechanic (comment section.) • If I am new into classical cars (35-55's area) should I go only for Ford cars? I heard it is the best choice because you can still use a lot of recent Ford pieces into those cars. • If I chose to buy a Buick, Cadillac or Chevrolet would it be difficult and or expensive to find any parts? • I heard that all those classical cars often break down and you need to be at least an amateur mechanic to own one? HOWEVER, today with RECENT cars, engines have hundreds of pieces, micro chips, captors, etc., if only one little thing break down (also planned obsolescence), you need to change the entire piece and you lose so much money, VS., old fashion car have simpler pieces, no electronic, a classical V8 motors from the 50's-60's is so simple and almost never breakdown if you know how to maintain it good (my opinion). So as a mechanic what is your point of view on reliability and durabilty of those old classic cars vs the recent ones? • About fuel consumption. My brother saw an old Lincoln driving in the street and he said: "each time that folk goes to buy a gallon of milk he needs to fill up his car with a gallon of fuel too ha ha". Is that true?

I would say anything from a Ford model T to a 1934 Ford would be a good car to get, or a early 1940s plymouth would also be cheap and easy to work on. Here's some links to a couple cars that I would like to own. (Model T) kzread.info/dash/bejne/gpWd09pqdtjdhto.html (1940 plymouth) kzread.info/dash/bejne/mZhp09NylZbHoM4.html

Also Chevys from the 50s are pretty affordable to fix, you can get a lot of parts and engine upgrades for chevy small block V8s or straight sixes. Here's another link kzread.info/dash/bejne/qpagk7R8oK3Uhso.html

Thank you so much, I've just watched all the videos, I love Jay Leno he is a great guy. The 1940 Plymouth seems to be a great first vintage car. Do you know any website or forum about mechanic for cars of this aera?

  • @americangangster1911

But as far as fuel mileage the older cars with 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders get decent mileage maybe anywhere from 12-18 mpg so nothing too crazy and the V8s get a little less mpg than that. The older cars from the 20s-50s are definitely the easiest to fix and the more common the car the cheaper and more available the parts will be. 1940s and 50s Plymouths and Chevys are pretty common and there's lots of parts for those. The 32 Ford has tons of used and new parts available, they make whole new bodys and complete kit cars, same with 33 and 34 Fords.
