"Anak" is a very beautiful song. Regardless of the singer or version, I cry everytime I hear it because the lyrics is very touching.

It made me remind of my father who passed away 3 years.ago. This song explained so much how we care for our parents.. We can choose who do we want to be our partner for life .. We can choose a lot of friends and companion.. But we cant choose who will be our parents.. The sacrifice they done for us is very genuine..

This song translated to different languages. I'm not sure how many but you can search it. ANAK Freddie Aguilar PS. 26 different languages.

Anak - children : it means back in past when you were born they were fulfilled with joy and always have a smile on their faces when they sees you and happily taking care of you but then you've grown up they are working hard to earn money for you and then you became naughty,disobeying them and ignoring them when they don't agree for what you want and you don't notice that they do it for your own good they were scared that you will leave them.At the end you notice that all of your actions are wrong then you go back to your parents house then you see your mother crying looking at your picture and saying "why you must" in tagalog "bakit ka nagkaganyan" then you kneel and you don't notice that your crying then you notice that it's all your fault for leaving them.
