Kyuhee Park - M. Llobet: Variations on a theme of Sor

A favourite for centuries among European composers, the ancient theme of the folia inspired a number of works, including Fernando Sor's Variations. Op. 15. Borrowing from this theme and the first two variations, Llobet adds eight more variations and a romantic Intermezzo that display an ingenuity in modern harmonic technique with devices exploiting several technical aspects of the guitar, including left-hand only variation, harmonics and quick slurs.
To Miguel Llobet is given the credit for bringing the classic guitar into the modern musical world of international concert tours, for contributing new works to the repertoire, for presenting to the public in performance the new works of such composers as Falla, Villa Lobos, Ponce and others, for teaching, organizing and expanding the pedagogical principles of Tarrega, and, of utmost importance, for having made the first electric recordings of the classic guitar.

기타음악이 듣는 것 뿐만이 아니라 보는 즐거움도 주는 박규희다.운지,핑거링이 얼마나 아름다운지 절로 감탄이 나와 한 번 보면 계속 보게 된다.세계 여러 기타리스트의 연주를 봤지만 이렇게 연주가 깔끔하고 아름다운 건 보지 못했다.
Allright...I was looking for a piece to dip my toes into classical guitar playing.... Seriously, what did i just listen to? Im at a loss for words.

The only one able to make real music out of this incredibly difficult but wonderful piece. The composer would be proud that his piece was eventually interpreted as it should. She is by far the greatest guitarist around.
This young and beautiful Korean guitarist is a genius of the classical guitar. After seeing and hearing her playing this piece (and many others) with great difficulty level, I am convinced that it is the best guitarist I ever heard (I have heard classical guitar for more than forty years).

Yes, from when I heard first her I knew she was really special. She truly is in another level, not just from the difficulty of the pieces, but the expressiveness with which she plays, the near perfect dynamics and the insane capacity to make the whole timbric range of the guitar truly shine. She really is a genius.

The great performance of Kyuhee Park is recognized in all the world. The fact that you do not agree with me or do not like the superb quality of this guitarist is not a reason for you to insult me. there is nothing bad in small hands I play the guitar but I have so massive hands that I had to invent new finger positions for some notes

As a young man I played guitar in the 60's, then the internet was not yet, but my father considered Andrés Segovia perhaps the greatest guitarist at that time. Then there was a 40-45 year dropout, and on my old knees I bought a guitar and started watching internet to learn. Since watching the performances of the greatest guitarists on the Internet, I have seen many excellent guitarists (Eliot Fisk, Ghiglia, Moran Wasser, John Feeley, John Williams, Redzic - sorry if I missed someone). Then I came across this Korean girl and I must say that she rightfully belongs among the greatest guitarists in the world. I don't like it when someone talks about the "best" guitarist, because there is no such thing - all of them belong to the elite - and maybe I don't even know everyone.

So true but everyone has a favorite.! There are too many great guitarists nowadays who easily surpass their teachers.
I give many times a reaction on this ..( see this piece many many times ..so good✨👌) but every time l see this , l can not believe that someone can play like this …This Girl Can 🙏🏻…Amazing . For me She is the Best l ever heard and seen . Thank You Kyuhee 🥰

이 곡의 연주를 여러 연주자들의 연주로 들어보았지만 박규희의 연주가 단연 최고라 생각합니다. 곡의 해석도 해석이려니와 무엇보다 정확한 연주가 정말 일품이군요. 박규희의 여러 연주를 즐겨듣지만 이 곡의 해석과 연주만큼은 당분간 그 누구도 따라올 수 없을 것 같군요. 정말 최고의 연주자입니다.

자신의 메인 악기를 고르는 안목...귀도 실력임. 그런면에서 박규희씨는 작은손의 핸디캡을 보완하기 위해 음량, 원달성 있는 악기를 선택했을 수도 있었지만 음색을 택하는 탁월한 선택을 했음...안나비도비치, 무라지가오리 등...좀 안타까운 면이. 음색이 너무 가볍거나 응집없는 그 벙벙한 소리 등...그 출중한 실력을 악기가 못받쳐주니 라이브연주에서 감흥이 반감됨....반면 다니엘 프리드리히를 받은건 저분 기타 인생에 있어 정말 행운이자 운명인듯.

When hearing this composition played, I rarely hear music and just a technical performance, and of course it is a technical high-stand but this young lady makes real music of it!
A true treasure of human beings... we're so fortunate to witness such talent!
* * * * M A S T E R P I E C E * * * * I have heard more than 30 versions of this piece on KZread from so many talented guitarist. But for me, this one is by far the best one in the terms of musicality and interpretation. Unfortunately, the very bad quality of the audio/video recording of this stunning performance cannot completely highlight the amazing talent of Ms Park. She is clearly a world-class classical guitarist, and consequently she deserves the best in video production. I really hope Ms Park will record this piece again in a near future with some high quality audio/video equipments involved. 🙏🙏🙏
