BINGO. Luka needed a vet that isn’t that overbearing or that type of vet that forces the entire org to cater to them in every way (LEBRON smh). Kyrie is emotionally and academically intelligent, has world class skill and basketball IQ, NBA champion, mentally grounded, focused, no underlying narratives or underlying pending contract obligations driving gameplay, so much more I’d say dude it was absolutely 100% the perfect match! Luka is a young legend in his own right and was the perfect young star for Kyrie to pour into and trust. Losing illuminates insufficiencies and winning does the opposite.

i would rather take them being top 4-5 seed and not really play defense because it takes a lot out of you its not easy to play two-way with how wider the court spread has become you can't run all game on both ends

Too many injuries in mavs. Starting 5 only had like 150 posessions together in regular season. To put it in perspective, okc had 1700 posessions with their starting 5

Luka takes some smoke for his defense. He jokes about it. But what he lacks for athletically he makes up for with IQ, fundamentals, and floor positioning. Of course he'll have games when he gets cooked. Even the better and best defenders in the NBA get cooked. Offense always has the advantage 1 on 1. But defend smart, use your body the right way, and take advantage of what the floor gives you and you can have a defensive impact nonetheless. And never give up on a play. Good job by "slow foot" Luka. And look at the Heartbreak Kid out there showing the heart of a champion and turning back the clock a little. Nice to see, happy for both these guys and would love to see them in the Finals. Not long ago...just over a year ago, really. Who would have thought? Luka & Kyrie? What are you smoking?!😅Yet here we are.

He doesn't do that, though. Jokic, Bird, Kidd, etc. made up for size/athleticism with smart plays. Luka literally has been caught a ton this playoffs run ball watching or getting beat due to bad body position. These videos are a joke. There is legit credit given to Luka for closing our poorly. Luka is for certain playing the best defense of his career. That doesn't mean he's playing "good" defense. He's 25 and 6'7". This shouldn't be the limit of his defense.

Yeah the arguments are crazy. Ant looked really bad on defense in Game 1. He was getting blown by all the time. And yet people still call out Lukas Defense, as if he was still playing his 2022 regular season defense. Kyrie and Luka really stepped up, and brought their defense to another level!

Great breakdown AC, but you know what could really help increase the ineffectiveness of your videos? Some useless stats, some beautiful overlays of graphics that look like they took you a long time to work on, and a softer close at the end. Also, if you add a few octaves of bass, we would really not benefit.
