Most first years were not included in the rank, same goes with Chippi. Only few first years got in the rank; Ron, Komare and one of the banner bearer(a Trombone player) to name some. There's actually another video of their National Competition. In the first 10-15 minutes of the video, it show's the KT having their final practice before the program starts. The first years who're not in the ranks were also wearing their orange uniform (in Prefectural, they were wearing their white t-shirts and black pants).

Great reaction DKR! 😁 For subtitles, after turning on the CC, go to the setting and click on CC (auto-generate). Then Auto-Translate, where you can select English. I believe Filipino is also an option, although I'm not sure what dialect. I assume it would be Tagalog. The translation may not be perfect, but you will get a better idea of they are talking about.
