Nice fight, but I can't stand the rules. The fact that one fighter can just repeatedly throw those head kick attempts and land on their back with no loss of points or no chance for a immediate counter attack on a grounded opponent just make it an abused technique. How many times did he attempt that move? All because there were no repercussions if he missed, but if he connected its a solid chance at a KO or damaging the opponent enough to cause them to lose the fight. I bet if his opponent was able to strike him while he tried to get up he wouldn't be risking it.

eventhough there are no protective gears this is still a controlled fight. the punches and kicks are hard if you're on the receiving end.

Karate sparring seems MORE DANGEROUS than Taekwondo sparring. One is with safety guards and pads and karate without any these things.

This is pretty unusual to see now. No gear sparring is dangerous no matter what style you do. Legally speaking, it's a liability for any martial arts school that is looking to continue teaching long term. Karate and Tae Kwon Do both have gear in competition. It just depends on what organization you're in.

This is Kyokushin, the most sparring-focused and practical versions of karate. You're not going to be wearing safety guards when you get jumped in real life, so why would you train like you are? Almost all taekwondo and most modern karate sparring competitions are bullshit because they're based on points and not actually hurting people.

sorry but how can u train a combat sport art without punches to the face and so on... fight stops literally when smb is on the ground and so on... you would have heavy problems against everyother boxer/kickboxer/thaiboxer just to inform u.

Every art is different and most of the time a fighter is limited by rules when the fight is in a tournament. It's not that these fighters do not know how to punch the face, this is just how it's done in Kyokushin tournaments. Kyokushin fighters are also well known in K1 kickboxing. Ultimately it's on the fighter and his training and not the art when it comes to a real fight. Just check out more on Kyokushin and you'll know..😁

Me and my brother study Kyokushin Karate and we actually spar with each other. This taught us discipline and used it when it's necessary. We had to used it before in street fights and it almost killed somebody with them powerful kicks. Discipline is the key to any martial arts.
