Fascinating. However, It’s doubtful I will ever use any of it as my primary reason for buying the phone was to get completely away from all of this. Make calls, answer and occasional text in a very tough package. That’s it. Nice to know however. Nice video.

Great video ! I have the older Kyocera XV phone. How can you simultaneously be on the phone talking to someone, retrieve a text from the person you are talking to -- and then go back to the phone line -- without disconnecting the conversation? ...My insurance company often expects me to retrieve a texted code at the same time that I am talking to them on the phone.......I do not know how to do this without ending the phone conversation, retrieving the text and then calling the person back....Any input will be much appreciated ! Thanks ! ☀☀☀

Great video! A couple of questions I had were does this phone have the KZread app? Also does the navigation function as something like an iPhone would as far as, does it track your movement and show you where you are or does it basically just list directions. Thank very much!

I have the DuraXE. What I did for KZread is this. Go to Browser go to KZread. Save as a BOOKMARK by clicking Options on the right. You may want to sign in to KZread first so you will not need to sign in each time. Then, save as a Bookmark.

@jestyjoshua This phone came unlocked, but that does not matter. Even locked Verizon phones work on US Mobile since they are a Verizon MVNO.

Im having a trouble with MATVT Mouse permissions. When I start MATVT Mouse, the app turns into landscape which makes it very difficult to navigate, almost impossible. I somehow managed to click on manage permissions and then I get a window promting something about use of mouse, so I click next and nothing really happens , Im pretty much back to same starting page of MATVT Mouse where I have to allow permissions but impossible to do since nothing really happenes. I can also scroll down to click on 3 check box and choose (mouse size I think). I got 1.0.6 version. Is it the wrong version or what is it? I already spent more than 5 hours trying to make it work but still nothing . It's kinda annoying.

@@justinzlabys5260 Hi! At the end I deleted the MATVT and I went on apps4flip website, the one that jorge briones promote in his videos, and got mouse up from there. It works, bit I struggle to do drag and drop with it. Everything else works as far as I remember.

Did you just install these apps straight onto the phone with adb or did you have to decompile these apps and use the renaming bypass? I cannot setup these apps on my Kyocera XE, I think these apps are blocked by default on my phone or something.

Sadly, this phone only supports 4G LTE in North America. Anywhere else, this is a 3G-only phone.

Can you pair an android smartwatch with WearOS on this phone and receive and reply to text messages with it? Also is it possible to side load apps like uber and lyft?

I don’t believe you can pair an Android smartwatch with this phone, but I have not tried. You can sideload any app you want, but Uber and Lyft both require Google Play services, and therefore will not work.

Petar, I have Button Mapper Pro on my E4810. Do you have a cheat sheet that has all the button numbers so I can add more buttons?

Do you know the difference between the extreme vs the extreme plus?

The extreme plus is one year newer and is the same phone as the DuraXE Epic and DuraXA Equip. It runs android 10, which is good because you can use Gbox for Google play services, but it comes at a massive cost - no XT9. That means it's MUCH harder to type on. That's why I stick with my plain old Extreme. XT9 is the most perfect entry method, and I don't know of any way to copy it to a different phone. For some reason, seems the company who owns it stopped offering it on all phones newer than the Extreme :(

Does unlocked duraxv extreme work with any sim globally if I am traveling abroad?

Yes, but only for 3G. This phone only has the right 4G LTE frequencies for North America, and it does not support 2G whatsoever.

This is sweet. I use a light phone day to day, but it makes me want to buy one of these and try to do what you did. But I was thinking about it, and if you basically make this phone into a smart phone then why not just use a smart phone?

Yes, it does. This is the only phone I've ever seen where the FM radio works without requiring headphones as an antenna. It's optional, significantly improves reception, but it works fine without if held in one place.

The Kyocera DuraXA Equip is the unlocked version. Sadly, this entire line of phones only has the right 4G LTE frequencies for North America, and does not support 2G. This means they will only work on 3G outside of North America.

@@Elidordek what app are you looking for? I use the Aurora Store, mentioned in the video, to download all my apps that are on Google Play. This is an actual licenced play store client, whereas apk mirror is not.
