I've realized this in sports as well. Players who aren't just athletic but have the insane sport IQ are often deadly in an annoying way. Their mind just outdoes what can be physically done. Messi watching the entire game at walking pace is a good example. His sport IQ is insane and when he adds his athleticism to it, it's magic.

There was a time we had David Silva, Nasri and Toure bossing it under Mancini and Pells. As much as I love the Pep era, there was a spontaneity and elegance about the attack we had under Mancini and Pellegrini. Aguero, Tevez, Dzeko as attacking options, it was beautiful

A lot of the best players in any sport has usually been the smartest players. Hockey has Wayne gretzky, football has Leo messi, and American football has Tom brady. They aren't exactly the most astounding physically gifted players, but became the best in their sport with high iq. They always beat the more athletic players with smarts than athleticism.

@markovesovic8980 yea Balotelli too. He was actually the reason I started watching City in the first place back in fall of 2011, but eventually he became more of a burden than anything. Caused too much trouble
He also really praised Mousa Dembele of Spurs, it's crazy how much praise that guy gets from the pro's and how he never gets talked about in fan convos
He is definitely another one of those streets wont forget!

Too bad. Arsene couldn't compete with the oligarchs money, but was so stubborn he wouldn't change his game plan. Got rid of guys like Toure & Gilberto who he absolutely needed to keep up with superior talents at Chelsea, Man City, etc

@@DominiAeternum tbf you should also factor in the emirates, which arsenal took a loan to build where they have to pay an annual income of 51 million gbp i'm pretty sure after they got the loan they started selling their star players correct me if i'm wrong tho cause I remember this factored a role in why arsenal doesn't have much spending power

I was fortunate enough to watch Nasri in an indoor complex here in Las Vegas and man… his control, dribbling everything seemed so unreal he was too good.

A lot of the best players in any sport has usually been the smartest players. Hockey has Wayne gretzky, football has Leo messi, and American football has Tom brady. They aren't exactly the most astounding physically gifted players, but became the best in their sport with high iq. They always beat the more athletic players with smarts than athleticism.
