The play calling was not all that good either. He runs the ball too much and he have other Runners to run the ball. He has been using McCaffrey way too much. And then he stopped running the ball. He also decided to kick a field goal knowing the kicker was not that good instead of giving his quarterback a chance and then the kicker Miss again do not tell me call makes the best decisions all the time 100% false

@@patv2535 Kyle shanahan style is injury prone. He makes play calls that assume it's the first play of the season every time. Christian McCaffrey has an extensive injury history. Debo has been injured. I don't think bosa is all the way healthy. Kyle shanahan last QB that was healthy for the playoffs was Matt Ryan. I expected Seattle to win the division. Young roster. Competent quarterback with low mileage who avoids foolishness. Seattle more sustainable. San Francisco is like Kauai Leonard. Dominant if healthy. Healthy days are past.

It's weak on Kyle's end. He was passing the buck in front of the media when he's the head coach and should be taking ownership. The defense is his defense at the end of the day.

The upside is you don't give the QB time develop a play, you act like no other team zero blitzes on 4th down. It didn't work, get over it. Maybe if your QB didn't throw back to back INTs you might have won the game. You do know you play two halfs of football right?

If the ball is picked nobody would be saying it’s a bad call. Same thing like 4th down situations, coaches get praised when it works and killed when it doesn’t

Spectators probably wouldn't have noticed that there wasn't a safety there, but it still would have been a bad call. I'll always defend taking calculated risks, even when it doesn't work out. Taking risks only makes sense when there's upside if the plan works. There was no upside here.

Sometimes these coaches and players need to be called out to stop them from making it again. Also fan bases need to know that these people are being held accountable. We’re spending money, traveling across country, supporting these teams and people to not do their job.

My only problem with what he did is the fact that shanahan gets credit for the offense and defense when they're playing lights out football. That means you have to take the good with the bad.

Nothing wrong with the head coach calling out his dc for bad call. He was holding back actually not calling out bad calls the previous game also. If I were the hc I’d fire the dc and promote someone from within. That’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it.

Acho is correct about the bosa sacks, the scheme of demeco Ryan’s and Robert Saleh would involve stunts on that front line and that would help bosa produce more sacks.

I’m with James on this! I doubt Joy or Shady would be fine if Acho came on the show and told the audience how poor of a job Joy/Shady did on yesterday’s show [hypothetical]

Shady is right and wrong. You are supposed to cover your boss and your boss is supposed to cover you.

As Dan Orlovasky says - anyone can call a play, a good coach calls a game With so few seconds left, any good coach would give them the middle of the field, tackle and the half would be over If he was going to send a blitz then the CB's must be told, don't go for a pick, don't take chances, there is no one behind you, let them make the catch, then tackle and the half is over Either that was not communicated or the CB got tempted and went for the pick But Shanahan himself did the same thing against the Pats in the Super Bowl Up by 8 at the 20 yard line, all they needed was 3 straight runs, kick the field goal go up by 11 - 2 scores and - with so little time left, the Super Bowl was theirs Instead he called a play & lost everything

The Niners defense isn't playing the same like they previous did under Saleh and Ryan's, they use to be a lot more aggressive with the blitz and just the way they would play, with Wilkz they play more passive plus just the fact that Saleh and Ryan's were actually on the field with the team to talk to them and get them hyped up, Wilkz on the hand is up in the booth, this defense is definitely playing different from the last few seasons.

Well the play was actually a good call. Cousins threw the ball directly to the DB who let a 170 pound guy take the ball from him. He literally picked the ball on a similar play to begin the game.

Nobody knows what those coaches talked about. For all we know coach Wilkes told Shannahan he messed up and owned up to it.

Why are they acting like Shannahan blamed Wilkes for the loss? He didn’t. He was asked about that play and all he said was Wilkes knows he messed up, that that was a bad time to call that play. He even said he has no issue with the play itself just the clock management aspect of it

Jones is a 1000% right! I get what Shady is saying about sensitive players and coaches but this need to be handled in house not on the media. I feel like shady only likes this because it gives them something to talk about which bring in ratings. Shady made James's point, with the boss comment. They can't talk about their bosses to the media but Bosses can.... That's completely one sided. Again I feel like Shady is saying this for the disagreement/ratings which sucks. The biggest part that they didn't speak about is how does this look to the fans and players on the team. Doesn't scream camaraderie or cohesion. Players aren't sure about what is happening behind closed doors and the fans will start to take sides, which in turn could rip apart a team that is extremely solid. PS: i never agree with Jones's takes, as I'm an eagles fan and love Shady to death. Long live 25!!!! but James is so right here, personally.
