Kyle feels really fortunate that the Niners stumbled upon Brock. What great luck! As far as physical tools, why do people complain about a 6’1” 220 lb. QB? Many Hall of Famers were smaller and slower.

I said this watching the games last year. It was clear that Kyle and Brock are in the same head, and Kyle genuinely loves it and appreciates it. Brock came off of the field on one play, and Kyle walked over and the two talked. Like partners. Then at then end they both nodded, Brock grabbed his helmet, and Kyle smiled and slapped him on the shoulder as he walked away. That small thing was HUGE for me. We never saw it Bethard, or Jimmy, or Lance. Brock is the man, and I’m super stoked to see what he does this season!

I just absolutely LOVE how Brock literally checked EVERY box week by week. Silenced the haters. The dink n dunk people. The he doesn’t throw downfield.. but the MOST satisfying was the “he can’t come from behind or put the team on his back” … Brock does it in the PLAYOFFS! Under the MOST pressure! .. fact is the hate will continue sadly.. until he proves he can win a SB.. oh and also without ANY good players on his team.. because he’s only good because of his teammates.

Brock may be smaller than others but he’s built different than most from the neck up. He has that “IT” factor. And the head of a QB is far too overlooked in today’s game. It leaves people puzzled by his success , but it’s no mystery. He’s very smart, mentally tough , highly coachable, and understood Kyle’s vision and read/route concepts right from the jump.

These player contract extensions for a star player are kind of like buying a new car. As soon as you drive off the lot the car goes down in value. You sign a guy for the long term and you are stuck with it. No other team will give you what you put into the player.

There is a picture of Brock and Deebo being interviewed by Erin Andrews after a game. They both look to be almost the same size and weight. It will be great if Purdy keeps doing what he is doing. In 20 years people will be talking about the newest 49er QB who starts winning games, "Well he's good, but he's not exactly Brock Purdy."

The Super Bowl hangover is real. Only the Patriots (Brady) and the Chiefs (mahomes) have won a Super Bowl the year after losing it. This century, they are the only two losing teams that even made it back to the game the year after losing. I suggest that despite what Vegas says, the niners have extremely long odds of making it back to the big game. History says not likely. Purdy is good but he’s no Brady or Mahomes.

  • @mysterymac38

I am a little worried about the teams respect for Shanahan. We saw what happened in Seattle after their SB loss. Both teams losing because of their Head coaches. Why did you bring up Purdy? If we don't win the SB it will be because of the team not because of Purdy. He doesn't need to be as good as Mahomes. Forget about Brady because we see he can't win a SB without a team.
