Congratulations to you both. I love RCR. I was a Big Dale Sr supporter. As I am a Ford person, I would have liked to have seen Kyle driving a Ford, but I think RCR got one heck of a driver and Kyle got one heck of a Owner/Boss. I wish you luck in the up coming season.

Wow. This is huge news for RCR. Kyle is coming back next year with a new purpose. He's the best in the business and I really look forward to seeing him get back to his old self.

RCR has definitely upped their game the last few yrs. Add Kyles talent to it and who knows….they can probably make some big waves

Because Austin and Ty sure as hell can't. Junior's EIGHT is very cool, but Kyle is the one who should have the 3... because like Senior he does not race ro make friends. He races to win. Junior said OK but change the font.

Cuz the grandsons can't carry the torch? I guess I can't really hold it against RC for giving the grandkids rides, it just seems like a sad day for Childress Racing fans that got used to so many years of winning races. Austin backs into a couple of wins, now he has his own reality show? He should stick to TV, he can't drive. I knew when he made the chase this year, he'd be the first one out. Just took up a spot that could have been held by Truex who actually would have had a chance to advance.

Kyle Bush just gained so many fans ! A lot of people are excited to see what he can do in the 8 car next year.

Seeing another Great Driver in the 8 is very Cool. Tyler Reddick is a good driver, but he needs to lock into a long term deal & Number.

In My opinion, Kyle is the only Driver that could drive Like Dale Sr Did, I'm talking from a raw talent standpoint!

KB will most likely retire from RCR and this is a good fit. He’s gonna be a better fit at RCR the. Gibbs. RC has that smile he had when Dale was there and I think he has the feeling he had in those days. Hope KB finally gets that 500 Trophy. About the only thing he’s missing.

Hard to believe that Joe Gibbs & Toyota couldn't come up with the sponsor money to re-sign Kyle. This is a bigger mistake for JGR than letting Tony Stewart & Joey Logano get away, firing Bobby Labonte, or giving a cup ride to J.J. Yeley. Guess they will have an open ride for Ty Gibbs now. I've been a JGR fan since Dale Jarrett was their driver, but not any longer.

Don't forget about Matt Kenseth he got screwed. Although JGR got Erik Jones that didn't work out that well either. Nothing against Erik Jones its good to see him running good.

the question about is this a multi year... i would assume its lifetime... because Richard Childress seems pretty serious about backing Brexton. This is a big deal for Brexton, RCR has made it his word to back him... that means he has his career paved to cup as long as he makes success, and with a father like Kyle Busch im sure he will.

id like to see him in the 3, i really hope he gives them a championship.

Kyle is only 2 years older than Dale Earnhardt Sr was when he won the first championship at RCR. Kyle Busch still has 6 peak years left in him. He said he has 8-10 years left in him at cup level. 13 years maximum left because he will be 50. Kyle Busch wants to race with his son in trucks and late models than retire. The only 2 accomplishments that Kyle hasn't got are the Daytona 500 and the Truck series championship. 2 more championships and 20 plus more wins and Kyle will be in the conversation with the likes of Dale Earnhardt Sr, Richard Petty, Jeff Gordon, and Jimmie Johnson. Kyle Busch is at 224 wins in top 3 series. 250 wins total is a possibility because harvick had 23 wins with RCR in cup. That's not including Kyle's 5 races a year in trucks. Also Kyle can add to the win total

It just hit me hard ! I hated Dale Sr bc I was a Rusty fan and one day I visited a race shop in N.c. And it wasn’t Penske . It was RCR and it hit me that I was actually a 3 fan and didn’t know it . This is awesome for a fan like me and a 2nd chance so to speak . I will be visiting Welcome again soon !

I am not a shrubby fan, mostly because of the lack of maturity and Team mate abuse. That said he has great talent and should be plenty fired up. My money is on the 8 to outshine the 18 next year. Probably by a bunch...

Is it normal in a situation like this to give their children options to be a driver of theirs in the future (seriously curious) either way that's super cool and pretty classy to do that
