For the sake of pettiness, this is Steve Winwood's song, just as The Greatest Love of All was George Benson's song. It was not written by Whitney. She has done cover versions. Both are NOT her songs. People seem to think they are!

Geez, if a singer has to write a song to call it their own, I guess Ella Fitzerald, Frank Sinatra, Nina Simone, Elvis, Tina Turner... a lot of singers would have very limited catalogs. Whitney's vocals are what made songs her own. How many other singers can you name who could go into a studio and sing 90% of the final cut of a song in the first take? That's part of what set Whitney apart from other "great singers".

Luther Vandross's entire process required multiple takes! The only one on that list who regularly recorded songs in 1 take is Aretha Franklin. Renowned songwriters, producers, and musical directors such as David Foster, Babyface, Rickey Minor, and Diane Warren have attested that Whitney regularly walked into the recording studio and sung songs perfectly in one take.

Schlecht (insgesamt), gibt nur wenige Stellen wo der Klang gut rüberkommt. Gibt bislang nur einen Remix der so was von geil gemacht ist & gut ans Original rankommt.
