Assalaam walekum sir, ye koyi nahi manta. Mere ghar jab ladke wale aaye to 5 lakhs mange. Ladka dadhi chod kar islam ki baate kiye jaraha tha. Bola ki mai pasanad houn , aur akele me baat karna chah raha tha. Bhai ne mana kardiya baat karne se ,to utkar chale gaye. 20 Min ke baad fir phone aya ki wapas arahe hai . Bole ladki pasand hai 5 lakhs dena hai to ladka razi hai. So i said to my brothers i doesn't want to marry . U give me that 5 lakhs i ll keep in bank n live my livelihood .

Now a days Indian Muslims are getting more dowry than non Muslims. In non Muslims entire marriage expenses are by boy house. But in muslims the marriage expenses are by girl house and have to pay dowry also

Those are following 5 times namaz regularly. They are asking more dowry than normal people Those are going jamath, they are also asking more dowry than normal Topi, thaadi, jamaath like thablik, thohid, thilawath, dawath e Islam.... These people are asking more dowry than normal people. This is my experience

Gunha tu nahi padata dowry lene dene par....pls bata dijiye....as I the only child of my parents they stayed with me only....I took care of them even husband also.

If we won't give dowry, no one ll marry. Am 37 still not married, all ll ask for dowry. If we doesn't want to give dowry , girls should be ready for any widower, a divorce. These people want a servant not a wife. All ll say ask Allah , pray ,do namaz . Every thing i did but nothing happened, now i gave up. I think Allah has not given marrige line in my hand.

Mahr is compulsory in Islam for a nikkah to be valid. You can read the Quran which talks about Mahr and its fardh otherwise marriage cannot be consummated. But, of course Mahr should be according to one's affordability. And boys should not marry that girl if the demand is too high. Many women want to secure themselves in event of divorce because they have no support system after divorce which is why many Muslim sisters suffer in abusive marriages because they think they can't afford to divorce and society will stigmatized them. In Islam the financial responsibility if on the man, not the wife and her parents. So that's why Allah says in Quran marriage is for those can afford it. If a man will demand things to make his own life easier, then he is simply not a man. Allah says men *providers and maintainers* Marriage is not a business deal but the wisdom of Allah can not be matched by any human made society or culture. It's divine wisdom.

@@saira_6151 In todays world muslim women follow the islam as per their suitability. In this case every muslim women wants mahr cuz it is compulsory and said by Allah. OK fine. But it is also written that wife should not say no to husband when he asks to come to bed anytime he wants unless she is not keeping well. At that time women comes up with the slogan "my body my choice". This double standard wont work. No wonder why value of mahr is going down due to these women.

@@shehzaadful what the women do is irrelevant. That's between them and Allah. And if it's a persistent problem, the men can divorce. Simple. But does not make it ok for people to say, "because women behave this way, now we will demand jahez" like that.
