I admire both Tarek Fatah and Javed Akhtar. When a debate takes place everybody tries to win and puts up many things on the heat of moment. I was expecting that at least one of them should say that let bygone be bygone. From now onwards everybody should behave in a civilized manner. In a manner that one should appear only human. Neither Hindu nor Muslim or from any other religion.Any other behaviour is condemnable.I was expecting this all the more from Javed Saheb. I would also request everybody to stop being judgemental. Let us make India a civilized country in true sense.

The Kingdoms from Northwest ( current Pakistan) like Maurya, Kushan, Porus, have never heard of Bharat, Hindusthna, , India or Hindu. They always attacked and massacred ganga jamuna ( current India). Mauryans alone killed 30 million Ganga jamnis and destroyed their Gods. Northwest ( current Pakistan) has always had trade and cultural ties with Central Asia and attacks towards Ganga jamuna (current India minus Chinese burmese Tibet states of so called " northeast India" created by British). Islam was accepted in these regions due to trade ties and mix marriages. Dozens of nation in Northwest and the rest of today's India supported then and some fought against them. South Asia is not a country like Europe. Ask south Indians, they hate Indus valley and its Kings. South Indians didn't want to call them " hindus" ppl of Indus Sindh ( Pakistan) until Indra Gandhi bombed them twice.

Tarek Fatah is fanatic liberal who is against only Muslim extremism but never have guts to speak against Hindu or any other extremism,we should be balance in our version and respect humanity irrespective of religion.

Tariq once says CAA will not stop him from getting Indian citizenship and at the end he says who will give him Indian visa leave alone the Indian citizenship to Pakistani Muslim.. he is seem to be quite frustrated individual due to some of his personal losses

Truly illuminating debate, and one liked it that it got a bit rough. Javed sahab is ofcourse a well known intellectual and highly respected, articulate speaker, but was greatly impressed with the controlled poise and aadaab of Tariq Fateh sahab. He has certainly won more brownie points in this debate. Indian soceity will indeed be enriched if such people are given citizenship. And hats off to the moderator to wisely become an audience and let the big cahunas speak & wrestle it out. The Intellectual Quotient of both was so high, that hardly anybody could have done any justice by intervening. Fantastic experience., Thx & best wishes
