I always like how Ky-Mani & his brother Damian answer their questions truthfully & just leave it as that '' great video upload ''
Just to keep it 100%... I have never been one to be starstruck but when I met Damian AKA Jr. Gong Marley, I was so in awe of how humble he and his family is.. A few of the brothers were just standing around chilling and Jr. was sitting down talking to this lady, My pride wouldn't allow me to ask for a picture so my friend asked him to take a picture of us together and without hesitation he got right up. I did get a little contact LOL but over all I feel like the Marley's have every right to be full of themselves even with the DNA alone but even with Ky-Mani in 2010 at the book signing it was the same vibe... Just down to earth, humble men.

So what is the interviewer really saying
“Take di what n left di what!??” was and will forever be my fav line of Shottas. I say it all the time lol
Shottas was a classic when it came out. Great to see Mani in good form up till now. Instant classic interview.
I was young in England when Bob Marley died and it brought me to tears because I knew he was special and there was a spiritual godly side to his music.
His accent is all over the place. One minute he's speaking like he's from the south and the next the Jamaican accent is heavy.

People keep saying Ky-Mani accent fades in and out. Jamaicans speak standard English and patois. Because of this Jamaicans do what's called code-switching and that's why Ky-Mani accent goes in and out in this interview.
@northside3701
2 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you wrote this, because people are still unaware we speak standard english. Patios is just an adapted secondary language,it's not our official language or ever was, we don't write patios in school,we write standard english,but people always assumed with their ignorancy..

When Bob Marley played the Garden and opened for the Commodores his performance was so outstanding people started walking out after saying the opening act was better then the headliner.
@westyraviz
2 жыл бұрын
It was sort of funny because Bob had no business opening for the Commodores. Bob was humongous in Europe and the rest of the world but reggae wasn’t getting airplay on US black r&b radio. And Marley really, really wanted to impregnate that African American radio as he wanted that message to reach their ears. So when some in his team scoffed at the notion of him opening for The Commodores, Marley wanted to do it so he could reach the Commodores black fans. The Commodores also wanted Marley because they knew that Marley would bring in white fans. Too bad many of those white fans left after the Bob Marley and The Wailers performance.
I feel say shottas is a movie that needs no sequel and can't remake seen...pure classic
Ky um fofo. ❤ Tem lindo sorriso e muito gaiato.
