My neighbors are already familiar with this song after blastering it to their walls for two years straight, in Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico. That's how powerful it is.

This record came out at a turning point of my life, and it really helped me dealing with my personal issues. After years of struggle, going from one shit job to another, always having second thoughts on my important choices, family issues, etc., I've been able to find my right place. Better later than never, am I right? Now this song in particular, for me at least, is the perfect intro to a new life, my new life. And I'm proud to be a die-hard Kvelertak fan, no matter the lineup changes. It's even more perfect than before IMO. Thank you guys for putting out such a tremendously awesome record that helped me through my hard times! I hope I can see you soon live, for the first time of my life!

My dad's mother's ancestors came from Rogaland. From the city of Sandnes to be more precise. I visited there years ago & definitely felt like home. I'm happy that it was easy enough to find out that I decent in part from the Rygir.

I'm from Egersund (A town 1 hour south of Sandnes in Rogaland). My grandfathers ancestors on fathers side comes from Sandnes. My entire family and all their ancestors from way back, all come from different corners of Rogaland

Vikings originated in Rogaland. In fact one of Leif Eriksson`s partets were from Rogaland. You know the one that discovered America 500 years before Columbus. And lyrics in this song you will understand if you have lived in Rogaland ;)

It is Norwegian. And not just Norwegian. Rogaland is the original Viking county where the father of Leif Eriksson is from . And also the father of Marilyn Monroe was from Rogaland. When it comes to Leif Eriksson he was the first European who set fot in North America year 1000. Rogaland county. Get it? ;) You could never understand Rogaland if you don`t know the local history of this county. It is beautiful and full of Viking history. Best spot in Norway ;) Rogaland is not Sweden or Danmark or Oslo in Norway :) It is the original Viking turf. Personally I am a fan of the bass player in this band. went on some snowboarding trips with him in the past. Awesome bass player. I feel the same about Rogaland as the lyrics of this song. Impressed by the sound of this band. I just don`t get how they got the sound to sound totally Viking. Love it! This song and the song Sjøhyenar are my favorite songs from Kvelertak. In my head the song Sjøhyenar boarders on hard punk and elements from black metal and hard rock. And I think Sjøhyenar is about the "Seamonsters" that Vikings met with their Viking Drakkar boats. Huge fan of what this band has produced. And this song is a tribute about where this band feels at home. Rogaland.

@@geirkarlsen7329 No. Viking means from Vik which is the old name for Oslo bay area. The literal vikings were from Oslofjord region. Today "Viken". But vik also means a small bay so of course the historian never agree on this. The battle formation "i viking" = shaping like a small bay. Rogaland is named after Rugi the gothian chieftain most probably who migrated there from the north coast of Germany/Poland.

I love the guitar intro. Totally has Foo fighters' "Best of you" feel. the intro buildup is so amazing, blood pumping. just like "Apenbaring" from their previous album " Meir" I saw them in New York with Erlend back in 2013. Gosh the crowd was so intense! It was like going to war with vikings lol

Well it's ok this song, the album fine. But what I have a bit against this song is that the lyrics sound like they are written by a travel agency. For tourism.
