Nithya Sree Mhadevan is a classical phenomenon of a stunning stature, shining like a beacon among the younger generation Carnatic vocalists. She has the blood of the century’s great music maestros coursing through her veins - the mridangam maestro Palghat Mani Iyer, her maternal grandfather and the living legend in Carnatic vocal music Dr.D.K.Pattammal, her paternal grandmother.
