Jon, you are a master paint and body man. I spent to much time in factories in my life. Now that I'm walking with a cane and have really bad back problems, I wish I had kept with my auto painting skill set. Can't get back what you used to have. I'm 67yr old and now its a fight just to walk. Anybody that has skill out there, keep up your best skill it will work with you.

I followed your advice and talked to myself. I'm a robot, watch your gun position & speed, watch the layer of paint being laid down. It came out great. Very satisfying.

years ago, I painted my first car with house of colors my friend said not to do 3 stage my first time, I though he said sure and use candy apple red, lol well the base silver looked primo I thought I should just clear that but that candy was calling, it looked really good 10 feet away but if you looked at the areas I didn't maintain parrel you could tell. wait it gets better I am 50 starting at a high-volume restoration shop, can't wait to get my hands sticky hopefully the passion outweighs the full time.

Hi Tony. I notice that after spraying on the 1sr primer he was sanding and hit bare metal then he used another primer part A and B. I am using Eastwood contour primer I sprayed on two coats and I also hit bare metal when I sanded it in some spots. Im I supposed to do something about those bare metal spots? Or can I use Eastwood 2K primer on that bare metal and continue with the process? Thanks👍

Can you buy paint stripper like this anymore? Years ago I used to get this stuff in a spray can that turned in to a gel on contact. The stuff was so potent it would cause pits if it was left on too long. Recently I had to buy paint stripper, and the old stuff I used to get is no longer available because of "muh climate change". The stuff they sell now is so weak it basically politely asks the paint to come off. I'm surprised they don't make it smell like lavender or some fruity garbage.
