the most underrated anime i have ever seen. the masterfully crafted and poetic play like anime that's rated 6.7 on mal. what a fucking shame.

Probably because the show nosedived halfway through. Or that Kurusu had plot armor that would make Goku jealous. The real shame is that this show could have easily been the best of the year, if it was handled better..

@@edwardelric4975 the second half still wasn't terrible it was just kind of meh compare to how good everything before it was., and i still really liked the last episode. and kurusu was the strongest vampire between them from the start, so i semi-disagree with the plot armor part. i think he was mostly just strong enough to make up for his mistakes. and here's the thing, even before the second half the show was rated under 7. so its not just because everything was weaker after the backstory episode. the show is a solid 7.75 for me. and i think its mal score at least deserved to be above 7. specially because almost all the shows rated under 7 on mal are garbage. freaking hige hiro, tokyo ghoul root A and darling in the franxx are rated above 7 for f sake. and mars red is much, much better than these.

It’s the main theme but it’s bundled with the Blu-ray and not online or uploaded it

I wish they did this in the style of the manga art and followed the manga story more. This telling and the direction they took the anime was weird towards the end and the art was meh. I'd give this anime a 5 out of 10 and the manga around a 9 out of 10, because I wished it was longer and went into depth a bit more on the characters.
