Interesting interview. A friend left a Tinariwen album on my computer once when we were swapping music ages ago but I never got round to listening to it. I'm going to check it out now. :)

He doesn’t smoke at all as far as I know. He even says it in his song Goldtone. His demeanour says he is a stoner but he actually has very strict work ethics.

The comparison of Kurt to the WoD is completely inaccurate. I feel as though it may form a unnecessary grudge over time. Kurt is the dominant of his genre, no question about it, and in terms of discographies, Kurt and the violators have the WoD beat, and that is coming from a massive WoD fan. Album to album, Kurt has never failed to deliver an amazing LP. The same cannot be said about the WoD.
