Not all heroes wear capes.
Barely a week goes by now without me discovering a new incredible guitar player. Even with YT, some still slip through the net. I'm glad I've finally found KR. He strikes me as one of the most inventive, creative and 'musical' of my recent discoveries. A magnificent player.

One of my fav musical moments has been discovering Rosenwinkel. Thanks, destiny. Enjoy!
Bro I just stumbled on to this guitarist and he blew my mind with his playing, and tone like I can't even hear his pick scratch when he's gliding thru its soo smooth
Kurt is brilliant of course but how about some props to the knowledgeable interviewer!!

For real! Great questions!
Got to meet Kurt a couple years ago. Super nice and humble man!
What at player. Amazing sound. Amazing playing. Amazing eyebrow movement
This a wonderful interview all the way around! Very refreshing to hear such a knowledgeable interviewer asking my hero some deep questions! Also... a freeze pedal being thought of as a piano sustain pedal?! 🤯
Such a great interview
What a musician. Totally inspiring although I have very limited theoretical understanding of what he's doing a lot of the time. Wish I knew more.
THE SOUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Killin as always kurt!
6 ALBUMS OF KURT AS LEADER? 🤯
The signature Rosenwinkel eye twitch is prevalent here.
I love Kurt's "basic" sound! Just wow

how does he get this sound?
@dougbooth3161

@@vizzo7 The EHX HOG pedal has what they call "Amplitude Envelope Controls" which allow you to alter the attack or decay of your sound. I'm assuming that is what he is using to "soften" the attack of his guitar. Totally loving the sound!

what overdrive is he using?
Sounds great
Check out the Ozmosys album - the first tune "Uh Oh" has a great rock style solo from Kurt at the end - never heard him play that style before - great tunes!
Awesome 😎
What a great interviewer/presenter. Intelligent, articulate and informed - so enjoyable.
20:11 "2020 is really clear..."
Osmosys' music is really great.
Blows my mind....even though a deluxe reverb reissue...every time.
He’s got a new hat!!!
That is a very interesting tone, like if Larry Carlton played in Jefferson Airplane, right?
great interviewer.
Those chords...
And now he plays with a Yamaha SG style guitar
Swwwweeeeeettttt !!!!!!!!
What effect is given his lead tones a wind instrument kind of Reed sound?

Attack delay, he used to do it with the ehx HOG, now he uses the POG2. I believe he also uses the mel9 for a flute sound, but the main thing is the attack delay on the pog.
Had to do a double take to check if that was Andreas Oberg in the back.
Fanny pack guy @12:20😂

😂😂 😂 Old Ponyboy comes wading in from the left (@12:02) just looking for trouble, then causes quite the stir amongst the cognoscenti once he goes full blown stage-blocker.
Ooofff
I’ll never again be able to not notice that Rosenwinkel’s right eyebrow jumps around like a caterpillar trying to escape his face when he’s playing.

Yeah he's famous for that tic, but I think we can give him some slack considering how the man plays.
Damn, all those dates and gigs he listed were all cancelled within a month...Damn.
Does even play D’angelico anymore?
I had tickets for Caipi at Carnegie, then COVID came…. I hope they reschedule.
how about showing us the pedal board!

what delay is he using?
@Ivan_Ku.

it's goes from Axe FX3
what strings is he using
How about show us the gear..what he’s using when…..not good
Love his playing... but he sounded so much better on his early records with just OD, delay, and reverb. Tone wise, I think he was at the peak on 'Reflections' and the OJM record

Love the OJM record but he sounds awesomely awesome here too.
Wearing a "GREG KOCH" hat. lol
Funny, he uses a Yamaha guitar these days.
Yeah...uhhh...kurt never rocked out real hard.
Kurt is such an amazing guitarist, musician, and composer. my favorite. but, this sound here sucked!!! its 2020 and you still cannot play without an amp.
This interviewer is so cringe.
Meaningless jabber...
typical jazz clothing fashion....yikes!
