United Brothers Kalimpong have won the Shaheed Gold Cup for a third consecutive season after defeating Kanchanjunga FC in the final clash at the Chanmari Ground on Wednesday 31-01-2024.
It was a slightly one sided encounter as United Brothers dominated the share of possession and scoring chances before sealing the game 2-0. Roshan Rai handed United Brothers the lead in the 20th minute before Bickey Thapa netted the decisive goal in the 49th minute.
The champion of the tournament United Brothers was awarded a cash prizes of two lakh along with champion trophy and the runners up team Kanchanjunga FC was awarded a cash prizes of one lakh along with runners up trophy.
