Agreed, he has such a soft spot for deku, it at times doesn’t seem like it but he does. And eri he also has a big soft spot for her just like her saviour ☺️☺️

@Michael Pitou Deku has rushed into high-risk situations and even injured himself multiple times in the name of saving someone. Fighting Stain. Rescuing Bakugo even when the League and AFO were right there. Running off without telling anyone else where he was going and fighting Muscular on his own when the camp got attacked. Shirakumo was the same. That's how he "died". When he rushed in to save the schoolchildren from the collapsing building, he forgot about his own safety and got struck by the falling debris as a result. The trait of "saving others without thinking twice" is basically what defines both Shirakumo and Deku the most. And Aizawa's likely picked up on that.

@Michael Pitou Yeah, sure. Rescuing Bakugo was Kirishima's initial idea. But guess who was the one who didn't give up on the mission and came up with a rescue plan when everyone was too intimidated to move by AFO's presence? Yep. Deku. Plus, IDK if you've been watching the same series as the rest of us, but Deku's altruism has always been the most emphasized part of his personality. From All Might deciding that Deku was a worthy successor to OFA because he rushed in to save Bakugo from the slime villain even when he had no power to do so, to saving Ochako from the 0 point robot in the exam instead of running away, Stain, his fight with Muscular, Punching All-Might to save Bakugo in the exam even when he could have run away on his own...The list goes on. Even Aizawa pointed out to Ms Joke that the heroic altruism Deku (and Bakugo's firey fighting spirit, but that's for another time) displays on the regular is starting to influence class 1-A for the better, which is EXACTLY why the members of class 1A are becoming more heroic in nature as they grow and learn through the school year. It all started with Deku. Shirakuma has the same trait. Saving an abandoned cat, helping out Aizawa against the bully in a fight, rushing in to save the schoolchildren (and leaving himself open to the falling debris) Even in the short time we see him in Vigilantes, that's pretty much his defining trait too. Yes, the show is about heroism and it explores what it means to be a hero, and guess what? It's shown throughout the series that Deku's altruism and willingness to go beyond is what MAKES a hero a true hero. Even Stain, the guy who kills "fake heroes", felt that Deku was a true hero because of this trait, saving him from the Nomu before passing out. Keep in mind that the only other person he ever considered a true hero was All Might himself. Anyone can be a superhero in name. There are people in the MHA universe that become heroes, but all for the wrong reasons. but what is the measure of a true hero? The altruism and the determination to help others that Deku shows on the regular. That's what.

@Michael Pitou Like I said, class 1A has been inspired from Deku's heroics. Even Aizawa has pointed this out. People in 1A start asking themselves "What would Deku do?" In tough situations. The reason why class 1A is starting to show these heroic traits more often is BECAUSE of Deku. Mirio was similar personality-wise because he was also another OFA candidate before Deku came along. He's meant as a character foil. Basically Deku if he had more confidence/what Deku could be in the future. Keep in mind that this show is written in such a way that everything ends up going back to Deku in one way or another. You just seem to be arguing for the sake of playing devil's advocate my dude. I'm done talking to a brick wall.

when i read vigilante first and saw aizawa's past with shirakumo, was really affected. then i saw this chapter and was like NO WAY!

I cried on this episode, it was heart breaking for me to see Aizawa cry for his friend. As well as present mic not being the person who smiled a lot. Both of them being extremely sad to figure that kurogiri was their long lost friend

It makes the whole situation even worse when you know that afo actually wants Eraser rather than Cloud (speaking of the quirks here). But Aizawa managed to actually defeats the villain (afo's henchman) at the cost of Shirakumo's life

@@novamarpo3 i’m not the best at analyzing scenes and emotions but this scene honestly is just so heartbreaking and beautifully done that I want to try and explore it as well. Its not really sarcasm since he’s actually being completely honest and direct, as Aizawa usually is. But I do think there’s some sick irony we’re supposed to pick up on as viewers. He says his eyes are unbearably dry when he’s crying cause he had to keep his eyes open for so long to ensure Kurogiri wouldn’t use his powers. The one time the stoic Aizawa shows extreme emotion, he has to exert his quirk to the point of being unbearably uncomfortable. Its honestly impressive how he can somehow still continue using his quirk to try and speak to his friend despite crying and remembering all the pain and memories. That’s a feat knowing how uncomfortable it can be to keep your eyes open for so long in addition to remembering painful memories. In general, i also think the image of his wet tears is a strong contrast to him saying his eyes are dry.

To think a high end actually has some mentality left, it makes me sad

I just watched this episode (catching up on the show) and not gonna lie as the tension in this episode rose my blood started to boil and my heart started to beat faster. The reason I say that because even though I hadn't read the main MHA Manga I have read the prequel spinoff and two of the volumes took a look at Aizawa's backstory.

It's skipped over it, but when Present Mic asks why anyone would look after a kid like Tomura Shigaraki, he used words that made him realize he was describing Aizawa as well. That clearly is what convinced him of Kurogiri's identity since Oboro was the only other person who looked past Aizawa's shell besides him because that was just the kind of person he was. It's no wonder Present Mic lost it on Kyudai Garaki after that point

@@randomuser5140 That would explain kurogiri is more sentient than other nomus, we has barely alive when they turned him into one and it does also explain what happened in the vigilantes manga, when eraser heard oboro's voice after falling debri fell on him. Rather than being killed instantly, he was on the brink of death and whose to say the paramedics on the scene weren't in cahoots with afo and they were ordered to make oboro look like he was dead just so they could kidnap him and turn him into the nomu we all know today .
