Since that one enemy that could use some sort of magic lived, we can speculate that all the soldiers died, and it was further confirmed when the big fat one appeared and the cinematic showed a scene of the past soldiers kneeling to the ground unable to stand anymore. They had no chance of winning, if you look at the scene of the soldiers fighting you can see their weapons had no effect, cause humanity wasn't prepared for that disaster. And humans also have yet to acquire a tacet mark, the tattoo like things on certain people's bodies (you can see it well with Yangyang in this cinematic, it's the thing that glows on her head) Those marks give humans special powers through sound, yet they also make them monsters. That's why some humans have animal ears or elf ears, and with characters like Calharo, his ult makes the increases his monsterfication. This actually can be dangerous as some people suffer from it, like Danjin who's power is so strong she is usually being monitored to make sure it doesn't go haywire, she also uses her blood to fight, hence the thing on her left hand that most likely has a syringe that collects her blood for her to use. From the info we can gather from the live broadcast it seems the story for this cinematic was that a Tacet Field started acting up again after being dormant for so long, so Yangyang and her squad proceeded to go and investigate or handle the cause. I love how this cinematic shows just how dark this worlds story is and how it really is set in a time where humanity has lost most of their territory and the world is in a post-apocalyptic time, with people trying to reclaim land.
