I go here every year, and i’m getting excited for this years trip so i found this vlog. that domed window you were talking about at the aquarium, i have actually sat there and got a picture with my brother! was sorta late to find this video, but its nice and gives me beachy vibes and gets me excited :)

Hush puppies look sooooo good. However that pickle sandwich I will let you keep. That’s the cheapest cost of an aquarium ever so now I must go. OTTERS. ALBINO GATOR. Ugh I need my feet in water. The beach brings me such peace. BEND INSTEAD OF BREAK. Dude your dinner. So good. Get me all the food.

I love hushpuppies so much, and these are some of the best! I'll take ALL the pickle sandwiches...no worries.

Such a cool spot Kure Beach. Stayed at the Air Force Rec Center couple years back and enjoyed the small town beach vibe. Since your headed to Carolina Beach definitely recommend a small little ice cream spot called Squigleys. Fun little store.

Oh Squigleys! My cousin worked there decades ago. Haha. I grew up in Wilmington, so I'm familiar with Squigley's...and I miss it! Didn't grab it this go around, but will eventually when I get back!

Hush Puppies are a food?? I thought Hush Puppy was just one of Lambchop’s friends! Woooah, albino alligator, he’s so beautiful! That “lobster” terrifies me. In fact, all of those creatures are reminding me why the ocean terrifies me in general. Ugh peach pecan pork chop....first I wanted a burger, now I want this....I’m hungry....

Is this city and beach diverse or will minorities be shunned?

It’s pretty diverse, but Wilmington does have a deep southern history when it comes to policing, in particular. The Wilmington Massacre is not super well known in most history books, but it is a huge piece of this towns’ history. But now, I would say it is pretty diverse when it comes to minorities. It’s not New York City or even Charlotte, but for a small town, it seems diverse to me.
