Look at Kurapika, he looked so happy back then before the massacre happened. He was smiling so cutely, acting like an actual kid, and etc. He even somewhat remided me of Gon, but now he's just so different. If you compare this to episode one, Kurapika looked so serious, but of course, he still knew how to smile thx to our other three protagonist. And if you compare him in the middle of the series and/or the manga, he doesn't even seem like the same person. He's distancing himself to his friends to focus on his goal which is to get the scarlet eyes. My man deserved better :(

i think part of the reason kurapika loves gon so much is because he sees his younger self in him. he was happy and full of life. now he’s full of anger and vengeance. his self destructive tendencies will keep him from ever being truly happy :( i hope one day, he feels it, but unless he changes his way i feel that’s not going to happen. poor baby :( i want to hug him so bad.

The poor guy. In the manga it goes into even more detail, how Kurapika was the rambunctious and adventurous one of his clan, just like Gon was on Whale Island. Kurapika was a big dreamer, but that all changed when the Phantom Troupe attacked. Also, in the series, whenever he’s spending time with Gon, Killua, and Leorio, he seems to be happy. But when he leaves them to find the eyes of the Kurta clan, he spirals further and further into darkness and it’s painful to watch.

i feel the phantom troupe just has to die, I do not feel anything about any of them. It's well established that they're scumbags who go around fucking up and killing people even in the anime and idk, the way they have each other's backs just screams hypocrisy to me coz they're literally so indifferent to killing people that even the anime sometimes plays it off as a joke.

This animation differs a lot in manga! They didn't even animate Sheila and having a conversation with Pika and Pairo! I'm disappointed since I wanted to see Sheila's appearance because in manga, Sheila does look like Pariston Hill. Plus, in manga, Pika and Pairo are on the same height ffs! And lastly, "D-Hunter" was never translated as "Dino Hunter"!! Like seriously, what's wrong with this adaptation? It's similar to the 2011's HxH where Kite wasn't animated in the very first episode. It's a big insult to Togashi himself.

I realized while watching the movie that the only reason Kurapika survived the massacre is Pairo. Let me explain how (if you don’t know already). Kurapika left his clan to find a doctor or someone who could help fix Pairos eyesight. So if Pairo didn’t exist, he wouldn’t have went looking for a doctor, and he would’ve been there during the massacre. Also, when Pairo “accidentally” dropped the liquid that keeps the eyes red for 24h, he switched it with something in the same bottle that wasn’t the same liquid so that if their eyes turned red they wouldn’t stay red. When they went to get the food/supplies Kurapika’s eyes turned red but didnt stay red (thanks to Pairo). If Pairo didn’t switch the liquid, Kurapika would’ve failed the exam and wouldn’t have been allowed to leave to go look for a doctor, so he would’ve been there during the massacre. So this shows the only reason Kurapika is alive is because of Pairo

I can’t help but draw connections between kurapika and pairo and Eren and Armin from AOT. Both pairings are best friends that share a dream of exploring the outside world and both were inspired by books. Kurapika and pairo only know the world within their clan and Eren and Armin only know the world within the walls. AOT season 3 spoilers You can also kinda think of it as the kurta clan and Eldians as the same in this situation just by the fact that they are discriminated from people in the outside. In like the next clip, we see how the villagers react to the scarlet eyes, they are seen as devils. In AOT, Eldians are referred to as island devils from the rest of the world that’s why they are caged up within the walls. But you know the two pairings and clan/nation are not completely similar. Eldians are discriminated due to the actions of their ancestors like 2000 years ago and so their descendants have to be punished because of their sins. i haven’t read kurapikas backstory in the manga so idk the entire story I’m just basing these ideas of the scenes from the movie, so for the Kurtas it seems like they are mainly discriminated cos of their eyes since they are like demon eyes, not large scale when compared to AOT. Some other small details between them: - kurapika and Armin look similar -the next scene where kurapika beats up the villagers reminds me of when Mikasa beats up the kids who bully Armin. Even the shots where both kurapika and Mikasa are bout the punch the bullies look similar (if you know what I’m talking about) There’s some other stuff I wanna put down but this is getting long and I don’t feel like typing anymore. I might come back to this and edit it in.

Yeah , the book made pika so curious about the outside world , and he did not tell the elders about the incident that the villagers see his eyes turn red. People from the meteor city have a great grudge on Kurta clan from the DC , the meteor city before is like an utopia but because of the war between the Kurta clan from the DarkContinent and the people in meteor city made it a devastated city. After the war, some of the Kurta decided too live in the safe world and that's the family of kurapika belong. But it's only theory but it has some facts that most the readers of the manga agreed to it. Sorry for my English it's not my mother tongue 😁.

Maybe tsseridnich contacted pariston and he deceived some troupe member including uvo to get the eyes then sold it to tsseridnich. Pariston disguised himself as shiela to know the location of the kurta village by tricking kurapika and pyro. Or pariston is a former member of the troupe.

It is hard to say not to go on revenge is good cuz I also think that the bad guy should deserve the thing that they did on others,so even if I know I will be like so painful as him, I will still want revenge. But I just feel so depressed when I watch his background story, he just changes so much that I can't even imagine if this happen on me.That is a hard decision

@@fuckk-popandtiktok3388 kurapika lost his whole clan not just his family that's why his heart full of hatred and revenge, he totally needs a justice fo his whole clan, the phantom troupes kills his clan most probably it was uvogin and feitan that's why he kill uvogin. his top priority now is not lose anyone again of his friends PERIODT
