The way you talk about Kunwu really intrigues me. I definitely need to add one to my collection at some point. That is a fantastic looking knife!

Love the acoustics. Slightly subdued yet "thick" and not janky sounding. Can definitely tell it's a solid piece.

As much as I like the look of the clip and appreciate the work that went into it, the wire clip works a lot better and and out of the pocket. It's great that they include it in the package!

Totally disagree, using the wire clip it moves around way too much. Especially when engaging or disengaging the lock.

I love my Django. I have the DLC G-Mascus and the DLC is incredible. Padre is still my favorite (maybe one of my favorites ever in years) and missed out on a few of the other models. Kunwu is killing every model and would buy any release they drop without concern I will love it. Especially a great price for materials and quality.

Kunwu is killing it! Would really like to see a polished DLC blade on a Chad with DLC textured Ti. It'd be a great compliment to my reverse Tux. Pulsar in the same would be cool too!

@@michaelinsc9724 some rumors Say that the mirror polish DLC blade Will be the one in the Gigachad, they have a photo of the blade finish on Instagram, also heard it will be very expensive

That blade looks beautiful! I wish the grind lines were a little less visible through the dlc but still gorgeous. Also not a big fan of milled clips but that one is very attractive (glad a wire clip is included!). If Kunwu is in here, is the spacing of the indents on the clip the same as before, just slightly different from the Spyderco clip? It would be cool if they were the same.

Hey man. Don't know if you read comments on 4 month old videos but I just dropped in to say I love your content. I watch most of you stuff. I've been looking at making a bigger (to me) purchase this week because the OT is back to flowing at work after we've been in a drought for hours for over months and things have been tight. So I saw the Gmascus Django on WMK and immediately went to see if you had a video. Honestly man, I trust your opinion when I'm making a big purchase like this and I appreciate the thorough and honest nature of your reviews. All around good shit. Thinking I'll end up grabbing one of these on payday. Thanks.

Hey MC, DLC is applied using the PVD (physical vapor deposition) process. There are other PVD coatings like Titanium Nitride (TiN), Aluminum Titanium Nitride (AlTiN), etc. All of which are incredibly hard, thin, lubricious, and durable coatings. DLC is just a brand name used by Ionbond for a particular type of PVD coating.

Sweet learned something new too but which coating would you say will last the longest in terms of not peeling or scratching off?

Thanks for the review, I've really been enjoying mine in the stonewash. Luckily picked it up in the pre-sale for $170. Finishes being equal, do you prefer this or the Pulsar? Also have the Chad and Tao Compact. Everything they make is excellent.

My xtao is mabye the glassy est operating knife in my collection followed very closely by my Rike lamella

Such a great knife but not for me. If it had a flipper tab I'd be all over it. Kunwu only has 2 flipper models and both of them are frame locks so I'd like to see them do a flipper with at least a button lock.

Kunwu need to get rid of the metal liners and make a coil spring design, it would make the kives thinner, lighter and more reliable!

I'm hoping this one has a much better action than the X-Tao. Axis lock knives just don't have the detent strength I like in knives. (I'm a snob and need help) Edit: Got mine today, feels great! Definitely putting in the higher tension springs later!

my question is, if i’m deciding between the Pulsar, the Django, and the Padre, which one should i go with??

Padre by a mile. Django has the worst crossbar action of any I have had. I even switched both springs out and had multiples. It literally almost falls out others have had this issue. The padre and pulsar are much better. Overall kunwu is incredible this one is just a big disappointment for me.

I disagree. The Django has great action. Tension isn't stiff but more than fine.

@@metal_complexman both mine literally fall out with slight movement. There were other reviewers noting the same thing so maybe a qc issue. The fit and finish is insane and the design is so great. Maybe I need to try the full ti one as mine were both g-10.
