I personally think Li should be place more to the good side than what you did.

To be fair, the wolf pack leader refused to Shen when Shen told him to fire because he would kill his own pack. He might not have compassion to other creatures, but he has compassion for his own pack. Thats better than nothing, right?

The way Tai Lung saw little, if not, no value in himself when he saw his reflection from the dragon scroll was really upsetting.

I honestly felt bad for him the whole movie. In several scenes you can see pain in his eyes and also even looks a bit sad. It was shifu’s fault that he didn’t teach Tai lung to learn how to deal with failure. He trained all his life to become the dragon warrior but then was betrayed. He has a reason to be upset. He’s not evil, he just has a broken heart.

@@madisonzortman Tai Lung is actually a very beautiful villain. He could've easily killed Zang after escaping prison and didn't immediately start a fight with Shifu. He wanted to simply return to the man who raised him. His golden irises symbolize heroism. He has gold irises because in his view he is the hero just as Po is seen as the hero in everyone else's. It should also be noted that he's the only one who doesn't do so much as attempt to kill anyone else. He let the Five live after beating them on the bridge. Looking back at it now, it's a shame he died after believing the scroll he fought his whole life to have meant nothing. He saw nothing in himself anymore and failed to hurt Po again because the meaning of Kung Fu faded away after seeing that.

Another great list here! I’m glad that Shen was given some love, as he is my personal favorite villain of the series. He is incredibly deep as a character, ruthless, and brilliantly portrayed by Gary Oldman.

Lord Shen is awesome

I feel Like the Sooth sayer should've been placed higher in the good side, Because she did a lot of good or at least attempt to do so, she believed that there could've been good inside Shen despite of him doing all of the evil deeds he's done, but in fail to do so, she tries to make up for it by tending to Po's wounds so that he could fulfill the prophecy she foretold, you could easily see the regret in her eyes when she told Po about the Truth to what has happened to his kind, In a way she was trying to redeem herself

Also notice how he opens his tail when he fights? It should actually make it harder. I feel like they made him perfect, his voice was good his acting his idea was bad but kinda genius (I don’t think it was right) and he’s a leucistic peacock which is also pretty cool. He does look pretty cool and unique and even makes peacock screams in the movie

I always loved the parts to where Shen would do that while fighting and have remembered some facts that I read about peacocks using their tails to confuse and scare away predators way before seeing the movie. So, I wanted to see Shen use his tail while fighting, even though he was the villain.

In my opinion, the wolf leader should be at the end of the gray area. He actually cared about his army. He knew that the canon would kill them. And when shen ordered him to fire the canon, he refused to.

I'm kinda sad that Crane is so low. He and Viper are the only two who didn't want Po gone after the first day. He even says: "You don't really belong here." And when Po starts going on about how he knows and only dreamed of this, he thinks: "Oh no! I ruined his dreams!" and then shifts to: "I mean in this room, you know? My room." This along with him carrying the others back from Tai Lung's fight while injured should get him a higher spot in my opinion. He's easily the purest of the Five.

Crane actually wasn't that kind to Po at first. He made fun of Po along with the others when they were mocking Po's weight. And when Po tried to thank Crane for helping him, he rudely says "ever" after saying "don't mention it", implying he was embarrassed by helping him. And the "you don't belong here" also was rather blunt. Viper was the only one that was kind and worried about Po.

i had a feeling shen was going to get the gold medal in evil lmao. that said, my only real 'gripe' about this list is the comment about masters croc and ox hiding away in prison only to save themselves. they make a point of bringing up that shen has either threatened them (or they believe) that he will turn the cannon on the city if they don't cooperate, so there's at least a bit of concern for others in their actions, too. i'm also not sure how to feel about the soothsayer's placement just yet, haha

Kung Fu Panda is set to have three more sequels. Given that these sequels are planned, I’m sure they’ll be good. After all, you can always count on Dreamworks to have a continued narrative in between each movie of a franchise. Making sequels exist for a reason rather than being cash grabs.

Good news everyone! Their is gonna be a Kung Fu Panda 4 in 2024. It was announced a few days ago!

Quick criticism, but the reason Ox and Croc stayed in jail was because Shen threatened to nuke the entire city. Otherwise, it wouldn't make much sense for them to stay in jail when they nearly got themselves killed in their origin story.

I knew shen was the most evil.

@@GeorgeVasilescu-ct6my Yes, Viper has always been the sweetest and most sympathetic of the furious five, I mean she was the only one who did not harbor any kind of dislike towards Po in the beginning, merely worrying about his wellbeing, she even had a bit of faith in him (not wanting him to quit, and voicing her concerns to Shifu).

I completely agree with Chen being the most evil character.

I knew Oogway would be among the nicest characters in the series.

If the masters were to be ranked I would put it as 1. Rhino 2. Croc 3. Ox Because of how they act towards Oogway in secrets of the masters

This is a great addition to the series

@@cydra671 Kai probably would have done all of those things and also Shen did show mercy to Soothsayer and he actually has emotions. Kai is just a cold blooded warlord who wants nothing more than to kill some pandas and take over but he also goes beyond that by destroying any legacy of Oogway. Also Shen only locked up Master Ox and Croc if that were Kai he would have killed them no hesitation.

Thank you!! You do not know how long I was waiting for this video to be made! Also, as far as the Soothsayer goes, I feel she honestly should've been placed even lower rather than higher. She was an extremely manipulative character. If it weren't for her in particular, Shen wouldn't have committed panda genocide at the beginning of the movie, not to mention she would join the side of anyone she saw fit (probably just to push herself ahead), and even went as far as taking control of the narration to manipulate even the viewers. I saw no other characters ever doing anything like that in this franchise. Things to think about.

He hurt innocent people without the slightest bit of remorse, and was prepared to kill Shifu all because he wouldn't give him what he wanted. A sad background is no excuse as we have many serial killers with sad backgrounds but it doesn't make them any less evil.

He isn’t always serious. I remember when he started laughing hysterically after Po said, “Who do *you* think I am, peacock?” Po looked absolutely terrified.

I love Kung Fu Panda.

I can’t tell if Kai or Shen is more evil. While Shen did despicable things on-screen, his motivation was more understandable than Kai’s. Shen cared about the Soothsayer, but Kai didn’t care about anyone. Although, Shen shows much more enjoyment when indulging in his evil deeds, and his mind is more dangerous. It’s tuff...

Gotta give it to Shen as the most evil villian if you ask me. While Tai Lung and Kai were dangerous in the end, they both started out as good with Tai Lung as Shifu's Son and Kai as Oogway's closest friend. It's mainly due to their taste in power do they both become greedy and dark. Shen though? That Peacock is a clear sociopath. Even before he attacked and killed the Pandas, he was a twisted and dark bird. Hell, the whole reason why Shen's parents had that Goat foretold Shen's destiny to them was to see where his current dark path would lead him. Key work is current dark path, as in already was.

The leader of the wolves didn’t want to follow Shen’s orders of firing the cannon at the boats so I would put the leader in the grey area

My personal list Good: 1. Oogway 2. Po's Mother (I didn't even thought of her but your reasoning make it up) 3. Po 4. Shifu 5. Mr. Ping (I'm surprise he come low, he have his flaws which makes him such a good character) 6. Tigress 7. Viper 8. Crane 9. Monkey 10. Mantis Gray: 1. Li Shan 2. Kung Fu Master (Ox and Croc hide because they Shen was going to threat the citizen) 3. Mei Mei + Pandas 4. Soothsayer (she's never inherently evil) 5. Zeng (poor man just doing his job) 6. Commander Vachir (lowkey frustrating that he wouldn't let go of Zeng but destiny I suppose) 7. The farmers (literally just minor characters) Bad: 1. Tai Lung (his reason of evil is pretty depressing and could've gone for the better if he would just accept his fate) 2. Boss Wolf (the betrayal for Shen at the end is for his pack, not the heroes. He still done awful stuff before) 3. Kai (there's a strong assumption that he's a evil warrior based on his titles) 4. Shen

There is no way that Shifu is better than Pos adoptive father *!* Shifu failed Tai lung and determined his fate, he never visited his "son" once when he was *rotting in jail for 20 years.* Mr. Ping on the other side always loved Po, even when Po was weird and cringy. He was never ashamed of him and tried to understand him. And the most important thing Mr. Ping teached Po to be humble and to accept a defeat. Something that Shifu never teached Tai Lung because Shifu wasn't humble as well.

Fun fact: Tai Lung is the only villain from Kung Fu Panda that isn’t on near pure evil wiki. Lord Shen, Kai, and Wolf Boss are on near pure evil wiki, while Tai Lung is on inconsistently heinous wiki.
