heres the thing, all the other villains in the first 3 movies made their fights with po personal, they had a reason to fight, with tai lung its becuase he took his place as thr dragon warrior, shen killed his parents and po wanted vengence, kai got betrayed by oogway and wanted to finish everything oogway started, but the chameleon did everything she did because she just wanted to and wanted power, theres no backstory so shes kinda empty and just a villain that has no reason

Btw tai lung had maybe my favourite scene in the franchise in this movie. It doesn’t live up to other 3, but if had less corny jokes and more furious 5, it would. 6/10

Recently , I just finished watching this movie, and although I did enjoy enjoy this Kung Fu Panda movie, I just can't help but think that this movie really didn't need to exist. It's clear they want to do more with this franchise past this fourth movie, and in all honestly, I don't know if I really want that, but specifically, just grading this movie, I thought it was okay. The other three movies are significantly better, in my opinion.

For Spoilers don’t read it, idc tho if u want to I’m in theaters rn, I did (kind) of enjoyed it. But when I saw they were making the dads side characters or just comedy slapstick’s idk, and thinking about the Lizards motive of why she stole their moves. It was making me think that unfortunately that the devs prob just only used the 4th movie to hype us and only use comedy for a few moments. The only that was good were Tai Lung returning as did Shen. But those were now heavily outweighed when Kai returned, since I thought he was vaporized by the overwhelmed Chi as well as Tai Lung since he was just there to be a commentor on the fight and say his voice doesn’t sound like that, I just wish Tai Lung along the other two have begrudging respect for Po like rolling their eyes or groan before bowing to him, meaning they still hate him. For how I thought the Lizard maybe could have done, was probably be either a rogue master or someone again from the spirit realm or heck maybe something like a nether realm of sorts or something. Her motive was too… petty, just being denied for being small. Wasn’t master chicken in KFP 3 now that contradicted things for me since I thought about it now. And the fox, man I wish there more to her like Po. I know it can’t be explored now, but who knows, maybe when that scene where her original master had found her like maybe when she was a baby or a kid, maybe that could’ve made us wondering where she came from or something like that. Man, I just went so long through this rant that idk what I’m doing anymore. But I guess, I might give it a 5/10 for me since I like KFP, but… I do hope one day Dreamworks pull a Shrek Forever after move on us. I’m so nervous for this franchise now… very nervous. This was meant something to be learning from and growing from, ik the movie said something about Change and being more than who we are but it didn’t reach that level for me. Maybe I’m not watching it right. I just (might) watch it again when it hits physical or something like that…

I had same opinion you had when I first watch the trailer

I did not enjoy this movie, It took a massive dip in plot/lore. tai lung should have had a subplot instead of just chaanging his “shifu is wrong about u” to “maybe shifu was right about u” after the fox basically took down the enemy w one hit. It was very predictable and just a disappointment to me i rlly loved the trilogy and this just ruined it for me.

I know your channel had a huge drop cause of some drama but im glad you still upload even with the low view count

This movie was about change and we just gotta accept it I personally enjoyed it as much as all the other ones IDC if the 5 weren’t in it or if Oogway wasn’t in it Im more bummed Kai and Shen didn’t get a single line of dialogue but hey maybe Angie, Chan, Lucy, Seth, Gary and Simmons just didn’t have time for this movie as well as Randall Kim

Kung fu panda 4 was just Lazy and unfinished and rushed, characters not used well and new characters are badly written and annoying. After the chameleon brings back the villains, she just cages them for the entire movie? Instead tai lung should have beaten her lizards but lost to her at combat but escaped, so he goes back to the valley of peace to seek help from Po. Tai lung would have been a much better character rather than zhen. At the end tai lung should have been offered the role of dragon warrior but refused because he realized that it’s not his destiny to be the dragon warrior and instead he goes off to search for a new purpose and he leaves forever. As for lord Shen and Kai they should have been given their own redemption rather than sitting in a cage for an entire movie. Maybe all the villains have to work with po and put their differences aside to beat the bigger threat. Also if you can’t get back most of the cast don’t bring back the characters (lord shen, Kai, furious five…). The role of dragon warrior could have either been disbanded or given to tigress as she has grown and matured a lot through out the movies and is worthy for the role. Po could have given his qi at the end to all the people that lost theirs to the chameleon, giving his qi to those who need it and sacrificing himself and becoming a spiritual being. The chameleon is a weak antagonist too, she is lord Shen and Kai mushed together. They are doing the same old trope where the villain wants to rule the world or become the most powerful being ever which is played out and boring now. The furious five showing up at the end pissed me off, for they did not get the old actors to play them and they just stayed silent, just a nostalgia bait to get people to think they like the movie, a cheap move. The movie could have been a po and tai lung story or a po+ furious five+ tai lung story or a po+ Shen+ Kai+ Shen story as all of those choices are much better than po and zhen because with those options you will be able to see po and the villains not get along at first but by the end both learned a lot from each other, maybe the villains express their side and po expresses his side. A movie that could have been written a lot better, the plot for this movie was more like an episode in a cheap king fu panda show. Also po was treated like a bumbling bafoon and an idiot through out the entire movie, constantly being disciplined by his female replacement, just goes to show that they writers are too lazy to show some character development, po has remained the same as he was first movie, it would have been a lot better if he became much wiser and calmer like shifu and oogway, I’m not saying that they completely Erase jack black from his character, I’m just saying a little character development would have been a huge improvement, po has remained the same through out all the movies. I will say the animation was pretty and well done but other than that the movie was a huge disappointment.

I haven’t watched it yet, but I know the furious 5 aren’t really in it, which I’ll be okay with that if later down the line they have a movie of some sort explaining what the furious 5 was doing. Also this movie had the smallest budget.

The real misinformation is the actual director stating that they appear throughout the movie. Also the trailers also did a lot of nasty tricks by making people assume they were going to have a decent amount of screen time with the past villains. They showed up sure but for like 2-3 minutes and so many scenes just didn’t have voice lines. He was not really exaggerating.

SPOILERS Once again the male hero has to be replaced with a female BUT This time she actually has to EARN it. She was flawed, likable humble (and adorable) and most importantly she had the hero's journey. In other words she is a worthy successor

Honestly though the biggest let down was seeing that annoying voice actor voice the fox. Each role she plays she has this same fucking voice/ dog awful “humour” put into it

I had a thought about "good villains" and why they don't make alot of sense. The point of a villain is that he's supposed to have some negative impact that needs to be stopped. If a villain has good motivations then he isnt a villain. Hes actually a hero trying to stop the other hero. Every hero is someone's villain at the end of the day. If a villain is flat out crazy and unreasonable... that makes him a good villain. When the hero stops him.. it feels like the impact was patched, but if the hero stops another hero.... there is no solution cause they are bad in their own ways. Thats why I stopped caring about good villains and what not... just give me some dope action with that character and resolve the problem

The biggest problem with this movie was the director. So much good stuff was rejected by him, including a full Tai Lung redemption ark.

While I think it’s not the best one I loved it still, 8/10 for me

I liked the movie but it my least favorite kung of panda movie I feel like it was missing it magic from the first three movie the story wasn't there but I liked the fight sentences I wish they showed villain backstory more so we felt sorry her and why kung of panda villain are the best going forward with kung fu panda movies they make better story and better villains have they side characters that my thoughts of this movie

The Kung Fu Panda franchise is one of my favorite franchises of all time. I grew up with them and I hold this franchise near and dear to my heart. So with this being said, I thought Kung Fu Panda 4 was kind of a letdown and the weakest of the franchise. I still enjoyed it, and there are certainly plenty of things I liked about the film. It has some of the best action I have seen in a DreamWorks film, the animation is incredible and the humour is still funny. But I agree with Supes that it has couple of things missing that made the first three films so special. This film is still recommended, but I can definitely see why people can be dissapointed with the film

Why cant they make their own damn female character movies? Why do they gotta keep riding the back of major movies to introduce this woke sht? Probably because even women hate the bullsht they’re putting out! And they gave the new spot to airhorn Aquafina (or however u spell her name). An tf was the furious 5? Just trust! Then they tried to play the two dad as if they were a couple instead of just a real dad and step dad raising their kid.

The final fight was also a huge letdown. Po is too OP. For someone like the chameleon that absorbed everyones power it should've taken everyone to take her down. The fact that po could've taken her down at any point feels ridiculous and the fact that the new dragon warrior beat her 1v1 is even worse. Just complete immersion breaking.

I loved it. Three is very good in my opinion and I think Kung Fu Panda 4 is better than that too, lol.

It seems like this movie is like the flash season 9 finale. Where they disrespected their past villains. I’m not going to waste my time watching this movie. Hard pass

In my opinion, this movie is quite good 7/10 but its the weakest compared to other kung fu panda movies

So much shit happens in this movie in such a short amount of time (THAT IS NOT GOOD PACING) It needs to have it’s rest moments. That and this being the shortest movie out of the other 3 and having this copium speed development was crazy. The pacing felt like those KZread kids animation videos

This felt like a damn tv show level story 😂 the chameleon lacked any depth or overall backstory(we should’ve seen her at her lowest state, wanting to seek a place in the kung fu world, how she even learned to fucking shape shift in the first place and eventually steal chi 😂) Zhen is just another lame character who’s outta place and has no purpose at all and suddenly po befriends her without much build up to the relationship. She was better off staying back in her city and helping make it a better place cause it’s filled with crime for the most part 😂 Her character doesn’t scream dragon warrior at all( the characters during the selection period looked better 😅) just another forced female hero character. Make no sense how she’s suddenly able to use the staff or anyone else in general for that matter, shouldn’t their chi be to low to wield the damn thing 😂 why didn’t the chameleon just summon oogway aswell and just take his kung fu 😅
