Wow. Looking at the graphics, I would have never guessed this is a 2600 game.
Wow this is a very good looking and sounding game! I would have believed it to be more of a NES game then an Atari 2600.
I have this game. It's graphically very impressive. Being that Rampage and Double Dragon came out in 1989, which was 2 years later, both of those conversions should have been better than what they were
This and Pressure Cooker are just about the best graphics I’ve seen on 2600.
Very impressed with kung fu for the 2600. interesting 4th boss compared to the nes version That sound at 4:30 killed me :)
Excellent review Phil! I own a copy of this one myself. It's actually a rather impressive arcade port. Including a recommendation, and a link to your video on my channel's review video.
It took me a while to beat the fist enemy in the black outfit! ... this is a great game for the 2600, better then that Karateka for the 7800.

Definitely better than 7800 Karateka!
Excellent review, this shows you just how good Activision programmers were at creating great looking and playing games at that time.
much better than anything on action 52
Seems like this might be yet another case where the 2600 version is much better than the 7800 version.
This version of the game feels significantly different than the NES version, but it is very good and challenging in it's own ways. I would say it's definitely harder than the NES version overall. I feel like the NES action is much more frantic, but the controls make up for it by being much smoother. I love both versions.
Looks pretty good to be a 2600 game. I honestly liked Jr Pac Man for the 2600 a little better than Ms Pac Man. Had better game graphics, a larger game board, and the same solid game play that most Pac Man games contain. Another one at the very top of my list is Turmoil by Fox games for the Atari 2600. It was also available on the Atari 800 computer too. Atari later released a similar game for their 2600 console entitled Taz, but I haven't played the Taz game. Same gameplay concept as Turmoil, just a different character and different objects.
I never knew this was on atari. It looks very similar to the nes classic.
I had no idea that this was on the VCS (of course I had long moved on by this point)! I loved this game in the arcade but never tried any of the console ports.
*The 1st batch of these games did NOT work correctly. They would STOP after Stage 3* How would "I" know, I kept going back to Kaybee Toys or was it Circus World at the time ?
Good game good review thanks
Amazing Port.
I know it sounds confusing but the Jackie Chan movie this was based on was actually named "Wheels on Meals" (like I said it confused me as well when I first heard it.)

+SNARCast Productions You are right, but let's settle for "Spartan X" as the title (movie & video game)

I did! I will put a full playthrough up at a later date.
You play as Goku robbing a bank
Ahem... little people, not midgets. Lol
No doubt it didn't sell well. Back in 1987 people would've gotten the Nintendo version instead which is eons better.
