Thank you so much for sharing this. I have seen some Kumeyaay bird songs performed before, but I have never seen the men dancing in front of the singers as they are here. Beautiful to see so many young men here participating in their native culture! Thank you!

I'm just seeing this I know a lot about songs my father was bird singer & yes he taught me everything I know about each song my father was Kenneth Phillips & that song is a funeral song & should only be sung at certain time

A Baja Cali kumeyaay born in America, here, which means the tribe doesn't give a fuck about us, us who speak more of the language, have more of the culture, and practices. I feel like a slaves' slave. I'm lower than a native american, yet have more native than some natives on some Rezs do, but it doesn't matter, I dont even want to money. I just want the support and family. I cant live in Cali or with the kumeyaay because of how much money it is, I cant go back to Baja cause of all the changes and coming events, and now i live in Nevada and now I may be disenfranchised again because of soaring prices on houses people moving to Nevada. No room for the natives/ long time locals, and these people moving in claim to be politically correct. What a circus, what a circus
