I love it when remixes actually reMIX the song and do something original instead of the exact same song but with different instruments. I listened to this like 2 years ago and didn't like it. I don't know what i was thinking cause this is definitely one of my favorite remixes now. Excellent work Dynamite Grizzly!

@@leiocera2433I know what they are talking about tho. There’s tons of remixes that are just the song but a different genre. A remix is when you take the song and actually change the core of the song like the melody, tempo, texture, et cetera. It’s rare that someone actually does that. This remix is a really good one. Most of the time they are just glorified covers. Dj hero’s soundtrack is a good example of actual remixes. Check it out ^~^

Sounds like something Osamu Sato would make (the guy responsible for LSD: Dream Emulator and its music). That's a compliment by the way, not many can compose music in this kind of style, even if this is just a remix.

+I Don't Even Know An even better example would be one of Osamu Sato's older games, Eastern Mind: The Lost Souls of Tong Nou. The bizarre characters are all made out of 3D forms such as spheres and cones. I could really see Reaper Bird being in that game.

Holy crap, you seriously did not hold back when making this remix. I wish I found this earlier.

Why is nobody talking about the Seymour Battle sample at the end? Such a perfect capstone to one of the few Undertale remix tracks that I actually enjoy listening to.

@@JackMorganUK1 No worries, I love answering questions about my process. I created this in FL Studio 11 with a myriad of samples I've gathered over the years (the drums are a cut and edited loop I got from a drum n' bass track I got from a public domain music library I found as a kid, for example). I believe the piano vst is 4Front. I don't remember what I used for the choir. Everything else is edited samples. As for my approach/inspiration; I'd just finished Undertale and loved the weird breakbeat/jungle vibes of the Amalgamate battle theme. I love when games have fun takes on electronic genres (In hindsight, I'm not sure why I never remixed Your Best Nightmare. That track is pure breakcore fun. But I doubt I could outdo DM Dokuro's remix anyway). I find it funny this song has basically become my legacy, given how many years I spent making brony music for these huge flash games. Still, I'm not complaining. I'm glad this song still resonates with people despite how old (and frankly kinda jank) it is by my current standards. I still like how the piano ending sounds. Though if I could change anything about it I'd probably go back and cut the Knuckles theme samples lol.

I know the text is referencing the Gameboy Camera, but the Reaper Birds arranged like that remind me so much of that one full-screen event in Yume Nikki, on the TV in the dream version of Madotsuki's bedroom. All it's missing is the scrolling. This is especially fitting, since I'm fairly sure a lot of Toby's Yume Nikki inspiration ended up in the True Lab.

Ya know after listening to this so many times I finally heard the Seymour fight sample near the end and that just made this all the more better. ♥

Its so weird. I have listened to this remix multiple times and I remember how it goes. All except that last part. Every time I listen to it, it feels different, somehow. Not how I remember it at all. For that to happen to me on a Amalgam remix feels so fitting. Doesn't stop me from feeling creeped out about it. All in all, banger track.

What am I so afraid of? That this remix is too good. Yeah I'm frightened to death of plasters, stickers and wasps. Sooo, I definitely have Spheksophobia (phobia of wasps) and Pittakionophobia (phobia of sticky things such as plasters) I also read somewhere that having Pittakionophobia means that you are depressed, or have some sort of anxiety disorder.
